Cafe Gloucester

Passed by and decided on a whim to try Cafe Gloucester for dinner. We were initially confused and perplexed about the very diverse menu — Chinese food but also Polish borscht, angus AAA steak, and lots of western food bacon, ham sandwiches etc, with a good dose of Indian/South Asian dishes. We were a bit overwhelmed and dazed at the choice! But the food Asian was awesome — really good and tasty. No complaints at all on anything we ordered. In fact, we will be back to try out the very diverse menu options! I would recommend this place as a quite eclectic experience to suit diverse tastes. It’s a little more expensive than other Chinese restaurants but the food appears great, so it’s worth the effort!

HK style cafe serving Asian and HK style western dishes like steak on iron pan or baked rice dishes. Had the curry lamb rice which had a mild curry flavor and was enough for a light meal but not super filling. FYI every dish was minimum $20.

Cafe Gloucester is not our go-to HK-style cafe but a quality one in the neighborhood nearby. Perfect if we want a quick HK snack and drink. We often have French Toast and Hong Kong Style Cripsy Pun. Every HK-style safe makes their French toast in a slightly different way. Cafe Gloucester has a lovely custard filling in their French toast. Hong Kong Style Crispy Bun is crispy and chewy. We like it. Both snacks come with a hot drink for free. We always order a hot mix of coffee and milk tea and a hot almond milk drink. You need to pay an extra $1.5 for a cold drink instead. The average price might be on the high-end side, but they are at a convenient location. We always order snacks here, so not too bad for us. Some of the combos on their menu are more than $30, big serve, though.

Always do take out from this resturant. We normally order the spaghetti with pork shop and Portuguese chicken rice. They are consistant for the time preparing the order as well as the taste. great family value. Kid-friendliness: My kids like the baked pork chop on spaghetti noodle. HK style

Thick, fluffy Hong Kong French toast with kaya jam. Very good, authentic milk tea. Drinks included with snacks before 6pm. Lamb racks were cooked well. Juicy and tender but the black pepper gravy was bland. Good, soft quality rice came with it.Food: 4/5

Great Chinese place. The restaurant is huge, so it could hold groups easily. Foods are good, but sometimes there are mixup between servers so you need to communicate well and also it is always safe to double check your orders. I had assorted meat and fried tofu hot pot, but it had more seafood than meat. Still it tasted good.

I go there twice a week on average. Taste just like the food from Hong Kong. Brought my non Chinese friends there once, they all enjoyed itFood: 5/5
