I love the place for me is like magic it has such a positive energy that you will have an awesome experience!!! Ordered a tea and a bagel with humus and fresh tomatoes cucumber .. so yummy The lemon rosemary ginger and honey is such a healing combination that your pamper your soul !!! Is a must in Berkeley !!
I had the eggplant sandwich I really love it. It’s hard to try other things on the menus since this is so good! And the salad portion is massive which I’m very grateful for. I’m having a hard time finishing the salad since the portion is pretty big but you gotta have your greens so I’m about to do it I’m sure the rest of the menu is epic. Good vibe! Nice garden with pants and fountains. Good place to hang out.
First time here. Enticing menu items. I had the grilled salmon salad and it was great. Large piece of salmon on the greens, with red onions, avocado, and cherry tomatoes. The ginger basil lemonade was great. My friend let me have some of his French fries and I think they were the best I have had in the US. His burger was huge and came with a salad and fries. We ate on the spacious back patio and really enjoyed it. I want to go back.
Honestly this is the most greatest cafe near here! All of the employees here is super kind, and the food and smoothie there is insane. I really love all part of this cafe!
Happy place! Great place to hang out on the patio or meet a group of friends for breakfast or lunch.Food: 5/5
This place is sooo neat! Small little place in the front and a huge outdoor patio in the back! Which is gorgeous all year around. Their food is so very yummy I got the steak hash, the egg on top was the perfect touch Food: 5/5
Great staff. Vegan friendly, yet not a big selection. The Vegan Burrito is not gluten-free so we got the Vegan Tofu Scramble with corn tortillas. Unfortunately, not many vegan desserts - and all are baked with white sugar - instead of agave, coconut sugar, stevia, or maple syrup. Amazing garden! Beautifully decorated indoor space as well. Gender-free individual bathrooms like at home. Vegetarian options: Vegan-friendly, but the Vegan Burrito is not gluten-free. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free friendly. Nut-free friendly. Unfortunately, all desserts are made with white sugar instead of agave, coconut sugar, stevia, or maple syrup.
Awfull They have their own rules. They charge you more because you order small things and they charge you for another mil. without explain to you it becomes more expensive because if different milk or anything They wrote 3.75 but took 5.25 . It is not good idea to charge for any reason. Taste is not coffee . Just their garden is good But the people are not very friendly. They just think about how much money you pay . This is not my first bad experience. I chooses because it’s near to school.
Great eclectic atmosphere. Nice back patio with lots of atheistic. Very Berkeley atmosphere. Food is very good and authentic. My favorite dish is the Chicken Tyab, such a Fresh and fulfilling meal.Food: 5/5
Just went to cafe Leila today. I have been coming here for years, but I was immediately tipped off that maybe I should leave when a girl was asking customers what they wanted to order while they were in line, before she had given them menus or they had a chance to see the specials. When I did get my food, my sandwich was ice cold. Like it had been sitting in the refrigerator already. I asked if it could be warmed up also it was next to impossible to get the waitresses attention. She took it away, brought it back and said it was supposed to be a cold sandwich. I asked if they could heat it up anyway. Mind you, I’ve already paid and tipped. $25 for a sandwich and drink! She says she has to see if they “have time”. That is completely ridiculous! I have worked in a kitchen, it takes a few minutes to do that. I just asked for a to go box and said I would do it myself. So instead of enjoying their nice garden and paying to be served, which is what food service is, I had to take it home and heat it myself. It took one minute. Will never come back here again, nor recommend it to friends, or take friends here again, as I have in the past. There are too many other great restaurants in the area that don’t treat their customers like a number and see if they “have time” in their busy schedules for service. This used to be a great place. But sadly it’s become another place that treats their customers as a cash cow instead of offering service.
