The ambiance and atmosphere was amazing! We loved coming here and had great service from our waitress. Our meals came out very quick and were delicious. The only reason I’m knocking off one star is because I believe the prices are slightly too high for what some of the dishes are. Other than that we had a great time! We got the lamb shank and the chicken Marsala
Our waitress, Katrina, was amazing and gave us really good recommendations on the food selections. Everything we ordered was amazing. For appetizers we ordered octopus, sausage, meatballs and the stuff peppers. Can't go wrong with any of them. For entrees we ordered the lamb shank and the duck. The lamb shank was great, awesome sauce. And definitely order extra bread, they have the best bread rolls around! The restaurant itself is very elegant and nice. There's a charming vibe about it. The price is expensive but definitely worth it.
We had the most amazing experience here. The food was superb. The sangria and tapas were *chefs kiss* When you go, ask for Diego! Best server. So kind and warm. We will be back for the paella!!Food: 5/5
I lived in Spain for two years and absolutely LOVE the food and Cafe Madrid is a really good representation of authentic Spanish Food. The atmosphere wasn’t what I was expecting. It was really nice but I think I was just expecting something that represented Spain a little bit more. The food was pretty good and stayed fairly true to authentic Spanish dishes. The only thing personal preference that I didn’t love was the Tortilla de Patata had a sauce on top that I didn’t love. The tortilla itself was good, just didn’t love the sauce. I haven’t had the paella there yet so will post again once I’ve tried their paella !
My wife and ai had a delightful experience at this restaurant during our date night. The attentive and friendly server ensured we felt well taken care of. The charming ambience added to the romantic atmosphere, and the delicious food was a true highlight. Highly recommended for a memorable evening out.Food: 5/5
Finally tried Café Madrid! I have been wanting to try it for the longest time and boy did it live up to the hype I had built in my head. Let's talk about food first. We only had tapas today and sangria. 1. Queso Manchego, Chorizo, Soria y Jamón Serrano - my favorite from here was the jamón Serrano. Probably the best I have had outside of Spain. 2. Croquetas de Pollo - these were the perfect combination of crunchy and hot deliciousness. 3. Patatas Bravas - definitely have these. Perfectly spiced and once you start eating them, you won't stop. 4. Gambas con Bacon - think of pigs in a blanket, but shrimp instead. Ask for the cheese, cost extra but worth it. The service was incredible, everyone was friendly and attentive. The restaurant looks amazing, and the music transports you to Spain in a heartbeat. Definitely will be recommending it to friends and family and definitely will be coming to try more things.
Let me first say that the food was good. I only gave it 4 stars though because i feel it is overpriced for what you get and could easily be better. The appetizers are about twice the price they should be. We had Patatas Bravas as our appetizer. Basically pan fried potatoes with some sauce $16. The sauce tasted like buffalo wing sauce. I mean exactly like buffalo wing sauce. My wife had the Seafood Paella $39 and i had the Chilean Sea Bass special $49. The Paella looked good but it's not my thing. My wife said it was good. My Sea Bass was served over mashed potatoes with two shrimp on top with saffron shrimp sauce. It was ok. I was not a fan of the way they served the sea bass. The filet was too thin. I much prefer the really thick cuts so you can get the big flakes of milky fish. This one was thin and could have passed for halibut. I prefer when restaurants leave the skin on the sea bass so you know it is sea bass. I told my wife i thought it was halibut. The shrimp on top were just plain shrimp and not impressive. The saffron shrimp sauce was too sweet as well. Our Bill came to $144 with tip. I would say it was worth about $60. Now, the service on the other hand was very good as was the plating of the food.
it was our first time in this place, from outside in, the place is located on a residential area, easy to get in, the building from outside is attractive, beautiful entrance doors, when you get in to the lobby you are transported to Spain, cool decorations, even do we had a reservation for 7.30 pm, we had to wait about 20 min to be seated, the host was polite but nervous. after we got seated, i felt neglected by the staff for about 10 minutes no one approach our table, the our server came, he sounded uninterested of any conversation at all, when we asked for a drink suggestion he replied that he was a wine guy and none of the other drinks he would suggest, he explained that he was from Spain and there they do not drink anything other than wine, I asked about the paella, he replied that it was suppose to be order in advance, but he would check, he left and come back after 5 minutes with water and bread, he informed me that we could have 2 options, one that we could get the pre maid paella that it was sea food or wait for hour and 20 minutes for a fresh mixed paella, we went for the fresh one, he suggested that we order some small plates while we wait for the main dish, we did, we ordered plato de quesos, tortilla espanola, albondigas caceras and pulpo a la gallega. everything was great but way too much, the drinks were margarita and espresso martini, they were great. After hour and a half the paella arrived, it was worth the wait, it seams that the plate should be for 4 people. The prices are in point for the quality. Our bill came to 200 $ after taxes and tip. Few points for a restaurant of this quality: 1 A manager or owner of the restaurant should greed every guest, visit every table at least twice. 2. The music should be according to the atmosphere, this night was non hearable. 3. Server should be at your table within 1 minute of being seated. 4. Carpets should be washed at least 2 times a week, they are light brown and you can see dirty spots all over the main area. 5. To go containers should be a bit fancier, showing the restaurant logo, great advertising tool. 6. Every guest should be send off with a greeting of farewell by the manager or at least the host. We will be back soon,
Service was perfect. Food was ok. I had the special: paella con marisco. It was ok. Patatas bravas could have used another minute in the oven. For those prices, I would expect a perfect meal though.Food: 4/5
Absolutely lovely dinner with really delicious food. We were not rushed at all as we got through the different course. And I recommended the house Sangria it's a 10/10. The atmosphere is lovely and the patio had covering so it didn't get too hot.
