Very impressive Mexican restaurant. Delicious cocktails, margaritas of course, and very tasty food. Thankfully the chef allowed me to try three tacos; beef, chicken and pork. All very tasty though an extra tortilla would have great to finish off the decent portions. Churros were fresh and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend for an authentic Mexican meal in Victoria.
Very satisfactory experience here. Had delicious Mexican food, the atmosphere and environment is very pleasing and homely. The customer service is top notch. I got the Tacos Mexicanos for myself and it tasted amazing with the habanero house made hot sauce that was given. Very positive experience and i can’t wait to eat here again. I am rating 4 stars because the prices were fairly high for the sizes of food, other than that amazing place
Stopped by on a whim while craving some dessert late night and were pleasantly surprised. Yummy cocktails and scrumptious dessert! Wish we came there for food since wherever we ate dinner beforehand sucked and their food looked yummy. The vibe was very cool too and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Food is good. Some great flavors in burrito and tacos both. We found this to be a really good Mexican food. Problems: 1 during the takeout the service lady did not allow happy hour price on the tacos. 2 we still went in the next day because of the food taste. We were seated at the table 8-10 mins before the end of happy hour. The service lady kept on servicing the table next to us and the table behind us even though they were seated after us. We heard her give them the happy hour price on tacos. But when she came to us at 6, we were denied the happy hour. We did tell her how she gave it to the other tables but not to us, but she refused. We still ordered tacos- paying 4 times the happy hour price. And no free chips and salsa for the kids burrito. I still tipped 20% - because kids do make a mess on the table, and the tacos were really flavorful. Overall- service should be improved. Someone beside me paid 1/4 the price of the same tacos that I paid full price for. Honor the time for happy hour when the customer sits on the table. Add more staff to service a full house you seemed to just have 1
Great food, attentive staff, and great atmosphere. A server ran out to return a scarf I left on my bench. Thank you very much! Vegetarian options: The corn is delicious!
I vowed I would never eat Mexican outside of the southwest. I'm from Arizona, and I am a regular at all my local latin eateries. I got overruled on this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Cafe Mexico combines traditional cuisine with unique local flavors, beautiful presentation, and large portions. We had the poutine mexicano. So delicious. I had tastes around the table and everything was good as well.
Got 3 PRs on Strava in order to make it in time for a happy hour paloma. It's amazing what the right motivation can do! Happy hour on a Saturday, even! Service was lovely, food was delish, and those slushy palomas are the best ever Food: 5/5
Very rude service. We stopped in for a few drinks and appetizers. The whole time we were treated like an inconvenience. To start, after being seated no menus were dropped and the servers would just stare when walking by. After waiting a while and getting menus myself we were ready to order. Same thing as the menus, stared at but not helped. Finally after stopping a server to ask if we could place an order she stopped and took it down. After drinks were delivered we asked a few questions about the appetizers, just to receive smart alec responses. I understand when things are busy but there were 4 servers, 2 bar tenders, and a host for roughly 8 active tables inside including our own. This review would be a novel if I wrote all the details but to save you time and summarize, very rude service that makes visitors feel unwanted.
It was my first ever visit to Victoria, and so to this restaurant. Excellent food and service. Thanks to Arie and our server sorry to forget your name you guys were amazing. Complements to the chefs as well!!!
Great tacos, fair prices. Regular shaft is Delicious! Fast service with friendly servers! Overall will be returning for more tacos in the future!
