Cafe O'Play

About

More than a huge indoor playground for kids, Cafe O’Play is designed to build community, host unique events and offer a comfortable oasis for adults.

Description

A what?
An “indoor, play cafe”, or otherwise known as an IPAC. Over the last few years our family has had a chance to visit several different IPAC’s around the country. Places like The Chelsea Treehouse in Chelsea MI, Cool Beans Play Cafe in West Palm Beach FL, Lotte’s and Lollipops in Columbus OH, and Little Beans Cafe in Chicago IL have all inspired us to open our own IPAC here in Ohio.

The growing IPAC industry has sprung up around the country to meet the needs of parents, caregivers, and children who are looking for an entertainment experience less focused on electronic video-games, noisy bounce houses, and unhealthy food and more focused on active/engaging play, a relaxing place to build community, and making healthier food choices. “Cafe O’Play” is just this type of place.

Here’s some key features of Cafe O’Play:
- Large indoor playground. Featuring creative and imaginative play areas for children 12 years old and younger, who are also at or under 4’10” in height. Youth exceeding our height limit or teens age 13 through 15 cannot engage in active play. We recommend they remain in the Cafe Area but they are permitted to sit with their family in the Play Area if so desired. Young teens who are present to assist an adult in the caregiving of a younger child should be identified to our staff at check-in.
- This playground includes a multilevel play structure designed by Orca Coast Playgrounds, a separate crawler / toddler play area, an indoor sports court containing a 17 foot-wide hexagonal Gaga Ball court, and an innovative EyePlay interactive floor by Eye Click Inc..

- Gourmet Cafe/Coffeehouse. With seating capacity for 75 customers, our cafe serves gourmet coffee and healthy snacks, lunch, and dinner items. Over 75% of seated customers have clear line-of sight into the play area. A separate, secure entrance into the play area for children & care givers only allows for safe and secure play.
- Party space and services. The two large, private party rooms can be combined into one larger space for corporate events. Trained party staff offer in-café party hosting for: Youth birthday parties, Grandma/Grandpa Birthday parties, Tea Parties, and corporate events as well as off-site, catered birthday parties at parents’ homes.

- Performance space for concerts and special events. Fit clubs for moms and dads, children’s concerts, adult/acoustic “house” concerts, meet the author events with children’s authors, classes for kids such as arts and crafts, story time, and others; are all only a small taste of the many special events hosted by Cafe O'Play.

- Retail store. Within the cafe we feature a small retail area which we call “Rosemary’s Boutique” in honor of John’s mom who recently passed away. She loved our kids deeply and loved the idea of Cafe O’Play. This boutique features a selection of unique children’s gifts and toys as well as Cafe O’Play branded merchandise.

Admission to Cafe O'Play is $10 per child during the week and $12 on the weekends and is good for all day play.

Fantastic place! Reasonably priced, good food. But the best part is the play area is enclosed! They also have staff around to keep under control. This is probably the most relaxed I’ve been forever. I was able to just let my little ones play without worrying they’d run off or go anywhere they shouldn’t. PLEASE open a second location near Mentor. I’ll be your favorite customer!
Pretty cool spot to go to kill some time with the kid. Staff was friendly and I think it was $16 for 3 hours of play time, which was plenty for us. I thought it would be a little bigger, but it was enough to entertain the 5 year old for a couple hours. They had complementary water available, which was nice. They also do reservations ahead of time to make sure you can play and it's not too full. We went during the morning on a Wednesday, so there were like 4 other kids there. They also have the waiver online so you don't have to waste time doing it there. Just make sure to put you and your kid/s on the waiver.
Large menu at the Cafe. Good place for younger kids to run and play. Staff was very helpful. Balloon guy not so much. My 3 year old grandbaby was the last child to get a balloon figure and she had went up to him 3 times and waited patiently but he seemed more interested in the older kids.
We hosted a birthday party here, about 50 total attended. The kids and parents & grandparents all had a blast! The staff were very helpful and friendly with anything we needed. We look forward to hosting more events here in the future! Tara, the event planner, was also nice to work with and very detailed. We appreciate you all for a very fun, happy experience!
Wonderful place to bring your kids to release energy. Well laid out!! Update 2023… still great and staff is always happy and welcoming.
Just had the chance to visit for the first time and we LOVED it! I loved the hand-washing stations that were added. Not only did it feel like the best possible way to limit germs, but it also made me feel like the play area was much safer than most when it comes to food allergies because of this. The play equipment is great for a wide range of ages and the 3 hours we were here flew by! The coffee was amazing as well-- my iced americano hit the spot and tasted better than Starbucks! Lovely facility and friendly staff!
As you can tell from the various size differences of Kyle, we've been here dozens of times over the last year. It just makes sense to get a pass and save money as it is a great place to visit time and time again! I support Cafe O Play and wish I could start my own "True Play" in Belden Village based on the same concept!
This is the only place you can take your kids on weekends. It’s usually crowded a little bit on Saturday. The most important thing that I like about this place that they have strict rules to keep kids safe. Also they have snakes and small meals like pizza. I always take my son there the last two hours of the day so I can get the discount. Staff also are very kind and helpful You can do parties here like birthdays parties where they have a room for the parties . They provide everything you need to the party but you need to reserve a week ahead of your date so you can find availability. Also, one of the staffs usually play puzzles with kids on weekends. My son really enjoyed playing with kids the puzzle. As I said before, this is the only place you can take your kids to play indoors so I highly recommend this place everyone who lives in Stow, Hudson, and Cuyahoga Falls. Prices reasonable and affordable to the area. If you come the last two hours of the day, it’s usually $8 and something which is enough for a kid to play for two hours per say. The only thing that I would say it’s not on their favorite is I have been living in this area for more than two years and I always come to this place and I have seen any changes or adding to the kids area.
We had so much fun here. We are normally play day cafe people. Never again. We will be going to cafe o play from now on. Let's start with admission... it was $16 per kid and that includes 2 adults free. We were allowed to play on the equipment with my son. AND the food was great. So many options. Even my son the picky eater was satisfied. The staff was beyond kind. And the place was clean. It may not have been as big as play day but ill tell ya what.. if you enjoy any of the things I've listed be sure to visit cafe o play! You won't regret it..
Don't waste your time here very very filthy. Nothing looked clean the girls running the cafe not that great at their jobs. Parking lot was only halfway full. And they said they were at Max capacity so my son couldn't play! I'm writing this review out of complete honesty not of just spite! I see nothing more than this place being fake class. I believe all associated with it as employees and further up are nothing but fake class trash. You shouldn't keep a place that filthy and then deny a little boy to go in and play.
