Shared dinner with our sister while visiting her for a few days in Delaware and stopped in at Cafe Pomodoro. Decent food and good service. For an appetizer we tried the Mozzarella Sticks, very good with a nice marinara sauce. I ordered the Baked Penne, and enjoyed my dish. Just the right mix of pasta, sauce and cheese My partner ordered the Ravioli Della Nonna, which he loved and finished. Our sister ordered the Gnocchi Al Pomodoro E Basilico, which she loved, but did say the dish had a bit too much sauce. Great service and decent food.
Fresh, colorful, and delicious linguine and clams. Fresh, house-made bread had a nice crust and soft on the inside. House salad had a good mix leaf variety, but could've used a bit more tomato and some fresh garlic or onion added. Trisha gave us excellent and personal customer service. She was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. The prices were fair. Very nice ambiance with decorative, vintage-style LED lighting and comfortable indoor/outdoor seating. The traditional music and interior decor gave a touch of Italy. We look forward to coming back soon
This was my first visit and our waitress was very kind, helpful and friendly. While the food was also delicious, the place itself was filthy, with spider webs hanging over me by the wall. The glass display window had dead bugs all over the windowsill. There was a vase covered with cobwebs that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Were it not for the dirty dining area, id definitely would have given them 5 stars. Please, please, please clean it all up.
Great experience for lunch and dinner! This awesome little Italian restaurant/pizzeria is tucked away in the corner of the Shops at Limestone Hills. Tried a slice of pizza and the chicken soup. Pizza was NY style, which I love, and the soup was definitely homemade. The owner is from Sicily, so everything is the real deal. Lunch was so good, I went back for dinner the following night and tried the Zuppa Di Pesce. Super fresh seafood with a generous portion. I'd order it again in a minute. Just impressive all around. Cannoli was awesome too! Service was friendly and attentive, which has been difficult to find these days. This is a welcomed addition to Pike Creek, and I'll be stopping in whenever I'm in the area.
Though Café Pomodoro is technically located in neighboring Wilmington, it’s just a few blocks from Pike Creek Valley’s town center. For travelers with empty tanks, it’s the perfect place to fill up without spending an arm and a leg. Both repeat customers and one-time visitors agree that it has the most authentic and reasonably priced Italian food in the area. Café Pomodoro’s menu includes traditional favorites like calamari, parmesan, pasta, and pizza. The restaurant features both in and outdoor seating as well. Fresh salads, soups, baked goods, appetizers, and some seafood dishes are popular too.
further up Pike Creek but always worth the drive. Many items not found at any other Italian place in the area. Limoncello & Genovese are my favs but hard to choose. Wait staff super friendly & attentive. Get there!
I came here with 15 ladies from my meetup group. Had the Fettuccine Alfredo and a salad. It was outstanding.Food: 5/5
Excellent Choice!!! They always make delicious, fresh, homemade food. A little pricey but well worth it. They have a very pleasant atmosphere, the staff always has great attitudes & nice owners. My fiancé, my daughter & I are hard people to please. We all agree, this is one of our favorite restaurants.
We order delivery from here probably about once a week. Delivery is always much faster than expected. They have been our go-to place for at least a year now. The pizza is phenomenal, and they are always very kind!Food: 5/5
We placed a catering order of chicken piccata for delivery which feeds 18-20. It arrived on time and steaming hot. It fed almost double that amount! It was so moist and delicious! We got many compliments on it. It was also very reasonably priced. I will definitely order from Cafe Pomodoro again.
