Some of my favorite pizza on the north shore. Underrated. The regular cheese pizza would hold up in NY, even better than most. Sandwiches are great too. Can’t go wrong.Food: 5/5
Excellent pizza, a real sleeper. Perfect crust… we should have gotten 2 pies ‍Food: 5/5
Long time Marblehead pizza staple. Whole family loves it here. They do have gluten free options available for crusts but they still cook it in the oven on the rolling rack. The same rolling rack that is used for all the other pizzas. If you are someone with a gluten allergy like me even a little flour will make you very sick. I tried the gluten free pizza option and not thinking of the oven I ended up and getting very sick. I can no longer go here for myself. The regular pizzas are amazing and I will still get the regular pizza for the rest of the family.
Pizza was way overcooked. Like close to inedible. Probably would be if I wasn't so hungry. Seriously lacking in the ricotta department. Called over 40min in advance on a Monday and had to wait for a burnt pizza. Usually much better pizza with decent servings of all additional toppings. Not tonight. I'm disappointed.
If I could give this place a 10 star review out of 5 I would have. These folks are awesome! They went above and beyond to make this delivery special. To make the long story short, we live in PA and today 6/7/20 would have been my nephews high school graduation. To celebrate our family had a “Zoom Graduation”. We wanted to make it special so at the last minute I had decided to order him a pizza and have it delivered to his house. I never expected how EXTRA-special Café Vesuvius made this pizza delivery! They accommodated my weird pizza order all the way from PA. I specifically asked them if they could write, “Happy Graduation…” as pictured. You should have seen his face light up on the Zoom call… “there’s a man at the door with a pizza”. I hope in the near future I have the opportunity to dine at this restaurant . The customer service is exceptional and delivery timely. Though I did not have the chance to taste the pizza myself, judging by how quickly my nephew downed three pieces I would have to concur the that taste/flavor was equally exceptional…YUM! Thank You Café Vesuvius!
Really bland pizza. It's not exactly bad tasting, it just doesn't taste like anything. The sauce is the dominant flavor, it's mediocre and unevenly applied. The dough is cheap and unremarkable. The real weakness is the cheese, it's thinly applied, and utterly without flavor, this completely ruins the pizza. The final kicker was the Cannoli I got for my wife, the packaging which I couldn't see before ordering it indicates it was packaged 3 days ago, and as one would expect with 3 day old pastry, it's stale. Total waste of money. Just moved to Marblehead, was hoping to find a local pizza joint but it looks like I'm gonna have to keep going to VOLO pizza in Swampscott.
Once Slice of pepperoni pizza and a salad no Chicken. $15. Not worth it for the price..
Always great food, friendly staff. Have been going there for quite a few years now and never have I been disappointed by them. I would definitely recommend Vesuvius!
Delicious pizza! Also, the cauliflower crust pizzas are small but SO good. Very thin wonderful lower carb crust. Love Vesuvius!Food: 5/5
A must have is THE MIGHTY ZEUS. Vegetarian options: See menu. Dietary restrictions: See menu. Parking: Street parking, and a parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Cmon it's a pizza joint on steroids.
