So I’ve been coming to cafe yumm for 30+ years. Food wise I’ll never get tired of it. It is one of my favorite lunch places and I go at least 3-4 times a week. Food always gets 5 star. However this location I’ve gone to several times now, and every single time my large bowl is only 3/4 full. I go to Beaverton usually and Eugene often. The bowls are always filled to over the top and the lid smashes it down so it’s completely 100% full. I’m not the type to review, however I felt I needed to here. I will not be coming back to this location again. Which is a shame because it’s one of the closest to where I live. On top of what I mentioned the price went up on the bowls recently. Which I totally understand. But full the bowls up! A large bowl 3/4 filled does not make me full for $11.50. I couldn’t even guess within $1000 of how many yumm bowls I’ve ate in my life. I grew up down the street from the very first location. I do t like complaining. But this is really unexceptable as Almost all other locations fill the bowl up and give you your moneys worth. Please change this method. Go see what Beaverton is doing. They are the busiest location out of all Thanks. Again the food is consistently my favorite. I will change my review if this location changes their bowl portion
Everytime I come to this location I NEVER receive my correct order. I understand modifications and/or substitutions may be annoying but if I'm spending more money than fast food I expect a correct order. Unfortunately I will not continue to frequent a location that is not checking accuracy.
3.5 stars is the target goal. This place is good don't get me wrong. Amazing service and options galore. The issue is that the menu is a bit confusing to order from. We randomly just came in and were confused on what exactly the restaurant served and how to order. It definitely leans towards vegetarian but it is also vegan and offers chicken. When you select what you want you go right to left with base and how you want it reconfigured. IMO this place would be more profitable if it ran food trucks as well with a streamlined menu. Vegetarian options: Definitely vegetarian friendly Kid-friendliness: Definitely a good place to.have them eat their veggies Parking: Good amount of spaces
I used to work here and anyone who thinks this is a healthy alternative to fast food should ask to see the nutritional information packet hidden under the cash register. Your SW tofu is tossed in a pre-blended seasoning mix that has more sodium than a jar of salt. The owner, Aaron also likes to fire the staff when they approach 20 to keep young, high-school aged girls running the show. If you’re a loyal patron of this store, you need help.
Terrible experience of not prepping food properly so that people with dietary restrictions cannot eat here because they don’t follow food prep. I worked for cafe Yumm and confirmed with my location as well as supervisor that this location is not following food prep, and wasted 30 minutes of my time, and no lunch for me so I can starve for the rest of day and pay $5 in gas to do nothing. Portland stores have really declined in following simple directions so customers can enjoy food
Building your own bowl is the way to go! Unless you like everything which then great! Suggest you try adding crispy noodles, nori, almonds, and pepitas to your bowl sometime perhaps not all 4 at the same time. The SW tofu is top notch. Friendly customer service, nice atmosphere, positive music, quick service, and tasty food nearly every time.
The soup was not soup and did not come with a baguette. It was my first visit. While here, I read the reviews. The bowl did look a bit light, but I think it is the corporate concept that is off. It was clearly not soup. And the off corporate culture will be example by the bot that will auto reply to this review. It is not the bot's fault, but the culture of this corporation. about 30 mins later OMG. My stomach hurts so bad right now and I am gonna have to be to the bathroom sick.
Healthy food, good assortment of choices. Friendly staff.
Second time at a Cafe Yumm. First time was amazing. This time I ordered a small original bowl. It was served in a very small shallow bowl similar to one you would give someone 6 peach slices. The total for both of us was $33 plus 20% tip. Hmmm… Vegetarian options: Tempeh, tofu, rice, beans, salad.
This was my first time at a Cafe Yumm I guess it's a chain?. The customer service was outstanding. The girl behind the counter was knowledgeable and understanding of my garlic allergy. She did her best to direct me to a good meal. Based inn customer service, this place would have gotten a 5- star rating. I rated only a 3-star for a few reasons: most tables were dirty. Working in food service, I understand that after a rush, it might look like a disaster so I was willing to give it the benefit of a doubt. 25 minutes went by south nearly no customers and no one came out to wipe tables. Bus bins were crazy full as well. That would have landed probably a 4-star rating. While eating my meal, I could overhear the employees discussing the low points of working there Thats putting it nicely. While I get food service sucks most of the time, bitchin's for the kitchen where customers can't here you. I'll probably be back because the food was alright and I'd like to see what the other restaurants in that chain have to offer.
