We ordered the Capellini Al Salmone. It came garnished with a crown of basil and was thoroughly delightful. The lunch serving was very generous. I was surprised that bread service was an extra charge but it was a tasty assortment. Located in a charming shopping district with free parking, my only critique was that the first thing you see when you walk in is the servers station. The seating area was attractive and comfy.
Dinner here is always consistent. The dishes are flavorful and well presented. The servers are helpful and friendly. I like the restaurant quaintness and locals feeling. And, they have lots of garlic in their food which is just perfect! Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten free pasta.
Haven’t been here in four years so was excited to try again and it didn’t disappoint. Service was super friendly and fast. Got the meatball trio, caprese, goat cheese bruschetta and salmon with three sauces.Recommended dishes
Update: 2/14/23 The food was excellent. I am never disappointed when I come here. The garlic bread and alfredo combo are a dream. Must try..../The food is soooo good here. The cappuccino is to. Gets busy but worth the waitFood: 5/5
My husband and I have been coming here for 30 years. We have always loved the food. Tonight was the exception, we were so dissatisfied with our dinner. We ordered tuttimare which is the linguini with seafood. Tonight it was sub par and that's generous. Usually it has two big scallops in it, tonight it had one and it was cut in half I guess the chef thought we wouldn't notice it usually has small shrimps and a few large shrimps. Tonight it just had small shrimps in it. I might add it had a lot of tomatoes in it. I don't know, maybe they use them as a filler. When we asked the server what was going on she said she didn't know but she would ask the manager. She did, we saw her talking to him, he never came over to talk to us. When we asked that he come over to talk to us he finally did. He told us that he manages 4 restaurants and he wasn't sure what was in this dish. What, he's the manager for crying out loud. He said he was sorry, that's it. I'm sorry that's not acceptable. This dish is not cheap. In my opinion of you are going to cut corners like this then the price needs to be adjusted. What a shame. This has always been our favorite place to eat, we will think twice about going back. I really do hope that the owner reads this and reaches out to us.
The lasagna was very good! There might be a couple of others that I like a little better, but definitely very good. There are many things on this menu that I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. My server, Nicole, was absolutely superb. She is a fountain of knowledge about the menu items, wine choices, etc.
We have enjoyed Allegro very much over the years, since we moved to the area in 1998. The service was excellent. The bread was mediocre – perhaps two days old and crusty. I was reminded that even in the outside area, which is a nice space, it is quite loud.Food: 3/5
Nice place, but for the price, I expected better food. The salad had over ripe and spoiled tasting tomatoes, which I had to spit out and remove from the salad. The eggplant parm was so salty that it became unedible after a few bites. The bread was good, the service was great.
Food was amazing. Service was exceptional AndreaFood: 5/5
Had the surf and turf, not a deal anymore. $36 per plate. Before the price for s&t was $24 per plate. They charge for bread bought too they table now too. Use to be out place to go on Sunday night for a nice dinner, not anymore. So sad. Parking: Public parking in the area.
