This is a great local library. My family and I love this place. We loan out about 50 books a week and go to most all of their activities.
I'm not impressed with this library. It's well kept but small in my opinion. I've been to two events and I didn't like or enjoy them. Neither did my kids. The first time was to sign up for the summer reading. A child shouldn't have to give u their creation. Aka the hand activity. Staff was really pushy to my children to give up their hand they literally spent an hr coloring. They were told about 20 times they can't keep it. Everyone got to decorate a wood piece but my oldest was not allowed to have a necklace to put hers on because she's a "teen" a special needs teen. Today the meet n greet for bunnies n chickens. They had 1 bunny n 1 hen in a cage smaller then a live trap. These poor animals came from about an hr away. So they r in cramped cages unable to move around for around 4 hours. Which isn't right.
Amazing library! It has a teen, kids & adult areas. It's very clean and welcoming when you come. The best part is they offer temporary library cards. $10 per month, $20 for 6 months, and $40 for the year. Even better it's UNLIMITED books!!! My daughter was like a kid in a candy store. They also have DVD, video games & online checkout services.
Lovely facility. Nice staff. Terrible policy makes collection inaccessible to those that live close by. Those that live within walking distance of the facility, but across the county line in Polk county, must pay $10 per month for a library card. While the nearest library within Polk county is over 15 miles away. Stupid. Just plain stupid.
This is a great library! If you live out of Lake county you will pay $20 per every 6 months to access the library. We live in the area, but our "local" library in Orange County is too far away. It was worth it to pay the $20 for every 6 months to use this library. That's only a few bucks a month. We come weekly and they have a great kids program. The librarians and staff are all very helpful! It has probably been the best $20 I've ever spent because we use it so often!
I just moved from NY, and I am a library goers. This library is so beautiful, quite place to study or just simply reading a book you like. The employees are SUPER helpful. Esther helps me to get things I need to do. Love this place
Really nice library. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great selection of books, DVDs and other things. Computer terminals, copying, reading rooms and more. They can also check with other libraries for things they don't have and can have them sent in. You can also reserve books or DVDs that are currently out and they will text you when they are back in. Great library!
Great atmosphere. Lots of small shops. Came for the Farmers Market and was delighted with all the local makers and crafters. The market runs from 10am-2pm on Friday's. Plenty of parking. Easy to get to located on HWY 27 in Clermont. Close to plenty of restaurants, gas stations and shopping centers
Friendly and helpful staff plus free Wi-Fi! I was able to use one of two study rooms to do my work and take a Zoom meeting. Wonderful experience.
Not a "public" library. They charge you for computer access and checking out books, of course if you don't live in the county. Ridiculous, because all the other Lake county libraries actually do provide free access to the internet. And if you're unfortunate enough to live in Polk county just a block away from here, your nearest free local library is fifteen miles away in Haines City. Well done, Florida. Plus the restrooms are hot and stinky with ZERO air circulation or conditioning. Isn't that illegal?
