An enjoyable and memorable experience if you’re willing to accept that it’s not a musical but more a visual concept album that uses theater as its medium. So while there is live performance, it’s not huge production of dancers, an ensemble of singers with incredible vocal talent, or intricate physical set pieces. There are digital projections, minimal choreography, voice modulation, and prerecorded portions of the show. I enjoyed it because of the amazing use of projections and digital media - it felt great to witness that innovation and I’m excited to see how it may be applied for concerts, musicals, and theater as a whole. The costumes are lovely, the main actor is a great performer. Downsides - the story is a bit generic and the songs while catchy, weren’t anything unique. Like going to a themed Zedd concert in a small black box theater. Lastly, I would not recommend paying more than the lowest ticket price $85 when I went. All the seats are on the same level, and are first come first serve for whatever section you’ve purchased. The view is exactly the same, and if anything being further back allows you to see the full effect. Also if you have someone tall in front of you, you’re going to spend the show moving your head back and forth no matter where you’re seated!
Such a great experience from start to finish! The Love cocktail was our favorite. The performers were amazing and I am adding what music I can find online to my playlist. I only wish the stage or our seats to be higher to better see the performance. Definitely will be seeing them again when they return to LA.
I saw a targeted ad for this on Instagram and I’m SO happy I did! I was super intrigued and didn’t find one bad review either. This show is MAGICAL! Even the atmosphere characters before and during intermission were such a great experience. I truly felt transported the second I walked in the door with the Tower of Terror feeling… going into a pre-show type room. Even the regular staff was super nice… security guards, venue manager, etc. GO AND EXPERIENCE THIS SHOW!!! My only complaint is that I want to jam out to the entire album now and can’t.
This was honestly a REALLY good show! I wasn't sure what to expect with this but I really liked it. Definitely use valet, since it's in a sketchy area though. Highly recommended! Photo is of the bar thats right before the show
I saw an ad for this on Facebook and I’m so glad I slotted time on my vacation to go see this performance! Such a moving show and was entertained the whole time!
This was by far the best play experience I have ever witnessed. Immersive and clues everywhere. They make you feel as though you are in the play. The whole performance was simply Magic. Words can't describe what I witnessed. The drinks deceptively heavy too. OMG, I'm usually a very stoic individual however this had made me feel every emotion. Once seen, be prepared to be let down by any other "Broadway" production
It was ok, it's more of a movie type thing with one actor. The hologram tech? That was neat.
Absolutely loved the show but BIG DOWNSIDE: Our tickets told us to arrive at 6:45 so we got there, waited in line and got in to a bar that got more and more crowded until there wasn't much space to move about. We had to wait until 8:00pm before being let into the theatre. We waited in the bar for over an hour! With COVID, we were upset that we weren't given the option to arrive later and avoid the crowds. From what we could see, there was no entertainment or anything to do except stand around and drink. It started our experience on a bad note and wasted our time. BUT THE SHOW WAS INCREDIBLE! We were blown away by how they harnessed projection technology to enhance everything. Over a week later and I'm still thinking about it! The art and projection was really the star of the show. Side note: We thought there would be more of an immersive theatre feel to the show but there was very little. So don't go expecting immersive theater. Go for the projection art.
The spectacle is worth it. The entrance/bar/scenery is great. The video and lighting are INCREDIBLE. The story and music are decent. I'd suggest ear plugs. I've recommended it to my arts friends
While absolutely genius and unique, it is not a musical. I was expecting more of a performance. It is a great sound and visual effects show. My complaint is that it is EXTREMELY loud !
