They definitely do not shy away from spices, too spicy for my husband though buy I like it. We got the 2 quarter chicken a lil on the dry side with potato salad and jambalaya and they were good and tingly. Chicken sandwich was packaged really well and assembled in a way that's great for picture!Food: 4/5

A true mom & pop store. First went to this little hole in the wall n read mixed reviews. IT WAS FABULOUS!!! I have been looking all over ventura county for "good" fried chicken. Every where I went was "eh, kind of bland, I could do better at home. " This is the first time i didn't say that. Fried chicken was full of flavor. Corn bread soft and moist and delicious. Red beans were so yum! My bestie loved her Cajun Breakfast. Grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes which i snagged and was yummo, and a flaky biscuit....all of it was tasty and nothing over cooked or dried. She loved her coffee with real honey in it not something we found anywhere else. Will for sure be my comfort spot to come to and cant wait to try the catfish!! Owners were nice and chatty, but not in our face. Wish i had gotten their names. Next time!!

I just discovered this cafe about six weeks ago, and I have been at least three times already. The food is absolutely delicious! Authentic Cajun cuisine is served, and the menu is plentiful. So far, I've had the catfish, red beans and rice, and red snapper. Everything is perfectly seasoned, and I can't wait to try the gumbo and hot wings! I highly recommend Cajun Country Cafe!

Had the shrimp Po’Boy and was very happy with it. Well fried shrimp, fresh bread and good spread. Coming back to try the chicken and sides, can’t wait to try their collard greens and jalapeño hush puppies. Very friendly people running it too, always helps. Was feeling a bit moody, but the good food and friendliness helped brighten the day.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Their collard greens were a surprise because I have never had them before but they were so yummy. The candied yams are delicious and the catfish was delightful. I also had some gumbo for the first time, it was salty for my tasty but still really good. I would definitely recommend this place fir some quality Cajun food.

The owner moved around like a fire fly cooking and prepping, that's when I knew the food was going to be good. I got the catfish dinner. It was delicious, and the potato salad was amazing. Very friendly staff. Real down to earth.Food: 5/5

My son and I went in and didn't realize that they had closed but the nice gentleman offered to make to go food for us the owner is a talented musician and while we waited we explored the great memories displayed on the walls10 out 0f 10Food: 5/5

Catfish was crispy and soft with excellent flavor. Jambalaya was spicy, hot and tasty. Candied yams were the real dessert, a very nice treat. Great, friendly service and quick to put it on the table, it's everything I wanted. Parking: Parking was great
