Our wedding cake was SO beautiful. And Delicious too! We had it delivered to the venue and didn’t have to worry about one thing. Everything by worked out great!
We ordered gluten free chocolate cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party because her grandpa is GF. We asked for something “rainbow-like” since our little girl loves rainbows, and we got a beautiful see picture and especially delicious cake. My daughter was all smiles eating only the frosting of course but the cake got rave reviews from all adults in attendance. The chocolate was perfectly moist + not too sweet. Will definitely go back next time we need a cake!
I ordered 2 cakes from Cakes by Karen. 1 sheet cake for Girl Scouts and a birthday cake for my kid. Both were decorated exactly how I requested, the cake was soft and moist, the frosting was delicious. It was definitely worth the extra money to go through them instead of a store. I’m very happy with my purchases and would buy again.

Tucked away near the Northglenn Shopping Outlets is a tiny locally owned bakery that is worth visiting one day. A local legend, Karen has been making cakes for my family & I for over 3 generations! She is the best of the best!! So yes, when you read other reviews about the owner just know, she's been doing this for a really long time and has been doing this for longer than I've been alive sorry Karen to date you here but truly, you know what you're talking about. Also, her prices haven't changed much since I've been a kid and have stayed consistent for decades even as inflation has been on the rise. I deeply admire & respect what she has accomplished here and will continue to support her local business. She has always been patient & kind to my mom, myself and my daughter. Her fillings, frostings & ingredients are also not made from any nasty chemicals, so your cake will remain moist & flavorful and will last. And she also personally trains all of her bakers diligently & can whip together a last minute cake in no time! Seriously, when you have time just go in and try one of her famous brownies, cookies or cupcakes, that are freshly baked and on display and see for yourself!
We’ve ordered 2 cakes in the last three weeks from here one for my birthday in December and one yesterday for my girlfriends birthday. Both were absolutely perfect exactly what we asked for on the design and they were DELICIOUS!!!! I will never order a cake from anywhere else you guys are the best thank you’
Wow is all I can say. I am gluten free and nut free and while we had regular cake - the gluten free cake was what everyone wanted! We had the gluten free with coconut icing! I have never had a gluten free taste so good!!!!
Absolutely in love with my Birthday Cake! It was everything I wanted and more! Thank you Cakes By Karen for making this a Capy Birthday! I hope to get more cakes from you all in the future!
Won't go back. Was charged almost 60.00 for a cake that was cracked and bulging. The decoration was horrible but the cake tasted good which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of one.
called same-day for a cake & they were one of very few bakeries that was able to accommodate. it was nothing too fancy, but other places were saying it’d take a week to do! it was a pretty large cake for the $55 price, done the same day, & was tasty! chocolate with a raspberry swirl in the middle.
