Cal Poly University Store has been established on campus to provide books, supplies and related merchandise essential to the educational mission of the university.
Our objectives are:
To work harmoniously with students, faculty and staff for effective campus retail Bookstore services;
To provide merchandise and retailing services a margin sufficient to cover costs, fund reserves sufficient to help assure fiscal viability, and help provide funds to the university for essential educationally related programs;
To offer job opportunities for students currently enrolled with the university and thereby assist them with the financial demands of gaining an education; and
To maintain an aesthetically appealing and efficient environment where students, faculty, staff and guests can select from a broad range of traditional and contemporary educational resources.
Cal Poly University Store provides students with the necessary tools they need to complete a degree and excel at Cal Poly. From custom published courseware to the latest in computer hardware and software, the University Store offers Cal Poly's faculty, students and staff products and services in their main store conveniently located in the University Union on campus and on-line. Cal Poly University Store is arranged as "shops" and offers competitive and educational pricing.
Courseware
The Courseware "shop" provides all required and recommended faculty requisitioned courseware. It offers faculty the option of keeping an existing text, selecting a new edition or creating a custom published textbook as well as cd roms, lab manuals and study guides. Courseware offers students the largest selection of used books, Textbook Reservation, VIP Buyback and Shop Once services. Students can conveniently purchase textbooks on-line.
Tech Center
The Tech Center "Shop" provides the latest in computer technology and the largest demo showroom in the county. It offers Apple, Dell and Gateway hardware, the latest software, peripherals and toys such as ipods and games all at educational pricing.
Supply Shop
The Student Supply "Shop" provides all required student supplies as well as office, art and photo supplies. Regular price comparisons are conducted and show that the University Store is very competitive and offers students low prices. Process your film or create a photo cd with next day delivery at the Photo Processing counter.
Spirit Shop
The Spirit "Shop" provides Cal Poly imprinted clothing including sweatshirts, tees, pants, hats, childrens and alumni. It also offers a variety of Cal Poly gifts such as license plate frames, decals, glassware, key chains, golf, stuffed animals, Cal Poly produced food products, spirit merchandise and more.
The Gift Shop
The Gift Shop provides seasonal and promotional gifts such as holiday, valentines, easter, graduation, dorm supplies, stuffed animals, stationery, greeting cards posters, frames, candles, sunglasses and much more.
