The museum is full of items of residents from Caldwell County over the last 150 years. My grandparents house is full of these things, but museum offers item's name Nd what it does!! There is a high school room full of memorabilia. Very interesting exhibits. Last weekend I attended a fundraiser ladies tea. Great little museum packed with history & information from around Caldwell County. From the earliest days beginning with Ft Defiance to the present & even future a time capsule to be opened on Jan. 1, 2100, Caldwell Heritage Museum has a wonderful selection of artifacts and information. A must see for anybody with ties to Caldwell County or a love of history!!!

My momma Debra Greene plays her guitar and sings there occasionally. We went today and it was a lovely time. And my son got to look at alot of cool artifacts.
It was informative about lenoir's historical background. I would have liked to see the displays tied in together better, but for those finding out about the area, it was great. The parts that it excelled was through the local schools and the outfits people wore throughout the decades. An interesting experience overall.
I absolutely loved this place. It has so much history in it about Caldwell county. I would recommend for anyone to go. It is free to go to, but they have a jar for donations.

What a wonderful place to experience the history of Caldwell County. Volunteers and Director are exceptionally helpful and want to help you find any information from the inception of the county to present day.
