Spotted a patrol up ahead of my normal routine path home. They had the street blocked and were detouring traffic back the way they came when I had pulled over to ask where another gas station would be so I could get gas because my tank was near empty and I knew wouldn't make it the 6 mile trek back to the gas station. I was presented with "shut up, I'm on the phone." I being persistent as to not get stuck on the side of the road asked again and explained that I'm going to run out of fuel can you help me I just need to know where to find a gas station. The officer; angry now, points to his phone and shouts. "I'm on the phone, get the hell out of the way." I can understand being busy as an officer but the effort he put in to tell me to "shut up" could've easily been used to help someone in need and 2 seconds would be all it would've taken. Needless to say, I was stranded on the side of the road shortly after. Thanks for the help officer.
Had a nice surprise this morning when Officer Zoltec paid for my coffee at the McDonald's Drive Thru. Made my day and great PR for the Caledonia Police Department!! Thanks so much!
Always courteous, professional and very responsive, even for non-emergency calls. Thankful to live in a community with such a good law enforcement presence
