Might as well not support a local business if they won't let you pick the plant up, even curbside. Paid $7 shipping for a tiny plant to come a couple of miles.

This is the Mecca for carnivorous plants. A Disneyland for carnivorous growers. Ever since I learned about it when I first got into carnivorous plants a few years back, I've been wanting to come here. I finally was close enough to make a 2 hour drive here. They have a great selection. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They did not have one of the plants I was looking for Darlingtonia but they'll have it this summer. I know where I'm headed this summer!

Disappointed they closed to visitors. I purchased plants from here several times when I lived across the country. Now that I’ve moved to within two hours away, despite a busy graduate school schedule, I wanted to take a day this year to visit their nursery. While I understand from a self-interested business perspective the decision to close and sell strictly online, I hope they reconsider in the long run opening in-some form to visitors, even if more limited. It would bring a lot of joy and grow the community!

Really dissapointed they no longer allow in person visits probaly lost alot of customers definitely when there are plenty more places online that offer carnivorus ants at a lot cheaper than California carnivorus

Definitely a place worth to explore if you like carnivores.  We are lucky to meet the owner and learned some tips about how to grow the carnivores.  The owner is very friendly and he also showed the "carnivores garden" to us.  We are amazed by lots of healthy and beautiful carnivores.  If you are a fan of carnivores, this is the place you must visit.

I love the carnivores plants that i have ordered from California Carnivores. The pitchers on my plant have quadrupled in size in the 8 months I have had it. I just ordered a couple more to help with the knats and flies. They add a lot of color to my windowsill. Everything was very well packed for shipping.

Received my order today of Pinguicula's and Sundews, pots and potting supplies.  This was my first time ordering from California Carnivores and I was so pleasantly happy with my plants and supply purchase.  Everything was packed very professional and arrived in perfect condition.  The plants are very nice and healthy.  The shipping cost was very reasonable and I was not gouged! Thank you, plan on returning soon!

This is the go to place for your carnivorous plants. I've ordered several times  via mail order and all plants arrived in fantastic shape. Never any problems.  I planned a road trip to Sebastopol just to "go shopping" at  California Carnivores a few years ago and I'm I planning my next visit in September. My last 5 to 6 hour round trip was well worth the experience.

This place is know as the best place to get carnivorous plants. When I told my buddy that I bought some plants he told me not to expect a lot. Unfortunately he was right, very disappointed, $33 for two small plants , and I guess they threw me a extra small third one for free ? Let’s just say I won’t be returning.
