Very pleased with the switch I made for my children by coming to CalPac. I have a hard time navigating through the Parent portal but other than that my kids are happy and so am I. I took them out of public school and it was one of the best decisions I have made for them and their safety. They are all caught up on their work and are doing extremely well. We live in a sick evil world and public school was no longer cutting it with their education and safety. They have a social life and still hang out with friends and do physical activities once done with school work. They have other friends that have also enrolled in Calpac after my children left public school and those kids are happy and live healthy lives as well. Glad I found Calpac. Thank you
Admission department would not wait to hear from my child's former School in order to obtain my child's immunization records for enrollment eventhough they suggested I do it that way. They even stated it would be quicker to do it that way. I moved from Indiana to California so I couldn't just walk into the health department and get a copy. I was doing everything I could to get the records for them. I contacted her former school and they told me California Pacific charter school would need to email them with a release of records form to get it sent to them. I called cpcs back to let them know this, and was then told they couldn't send the former school a release of records because my child wasn't enrolled in the school yet and couldn't enroll my child until they receive the immunization records. The only copy I had was lost in a fire so I tried doing it the way I could. The lady I spoke to at cpcs said to give her the phone number and she would call the previous school to explain this to them and she would tell Them the other option for them to be able to get the records to her. She called to let me know that she left the former school a voicemail and that hopefully we'd hear from them Monday all this took place on a FridayThe lady was condescending when she called me on monday to let me know the previous school didn't contact her back and let me know I had two hours left and they'd remove her from the spot. Now I have to scramble to find another online school to enroll her in because they just wouldn't send a release of records nor wait longer than one business day for the former school to get in touch with them. It seems like every child doesn't matter and providing education to my child just wasn't at the top of their worries. I bet they pride themselves on caring for every child in need of education yet are willing to just say oh well your daughters education doesn't matter. It felt like the woman I spoke to wanted to remove my child from the list for some reason... maybe they had a friend who needed the spot. I got the runaround and still got told they're removing her. Just seems messy. I don't recommend this school. A complete headache.
I am very happy we decided to enroll my son here but what makes me happier is the support my son and I got from his teacher Mrs. Stubbs. She was extremely helpful from the beginning, she always had time to answer our questions and guide us in the right direction. So, if you decide to enroll your children and find out that Mrs. Stubbs will be their teacher rest assured that your kids will be in the right hands. I would like to Thanks Calpac and Mrs. Stubbs for an amazing semester, my son and I are ready for summer school. Regards, Jorge.
I’m in love with this school. By far way better then K12 which my kids were last in but switched to calpac and I couldn’t be happier about it. I love the teachers, they’re extremely hands on virtually that is, patient, never make you feel pressured about late assignments and instead are always looking for ways to help you and your student so that your kids are able to excel. My kids are a bit behind than most students in their class but their teachers are always working 1 on 1 with them and have break out rooms where they can better explain or focus on what needs to be done but at the child’s pace. Never do they get frustrated like us parents tend to do at times, and that’s another thing, they help the parents out in providing different resources or just being there to listen to you. They want the best for their students and families and they go the extra mile in doing so. I swear I can sit here for days gushing and raving about how much this school has changed our lives and have made homeschooling less stressful for our family. It’s a process and a lengthy transition when all you know is regular public schools. But they make the transition as smooth as possible and I love them for it. I’ve got 5kids, 3 in elementary 1 in JH and the other in H here at calpac. And next year it’ll be 6 with my last starting kinder. Don’t think twice about enrolling here. You won’t regret it.
I graduated from Cal Pac in 2012. I was very behind in my classes and my counselor as well as all of my teachers worked with me to be able to finish on time. Great School alternative with great and supportive teachers and staff! If you know your child is self disciplined to complete their online assignments, I highly recommend CalPac. I was one of those students who disliked the public school environment. Having this alternative was a life saver.
California Pacific Charter School or CALPAC is such a great school that really make sure that the students are comfortable with their online school setting. Each and every teacher is great and won't hesitate to help you out while the traditional brick and mortar school setting will have teachers that may push you aside since they supposedly have other stuff to worry about. This isn't the case with CALPAC since the students always come first in this school program. You really will love this school and is more effective than other online programs out there. Everyone is down to earth at CALPAC. They will gladly accept you in their CALPAC family.
They were very kind and knowledgeable. The only thing is that the lady on the down flower too CalPac at the desk was very rude and snotty. But the lady upstairs at the desk was kind and professional.
I love CALPACS
