Food was delicious and Renee was a fantastic server. The view from our table was beautiful as well. Saw some other reviews say the service was bad, but we didn’t experience any bad service at all!! We will definitely be coming back.Rooms: 5/5
We had a wonderful experience! Our waitress Caitlin was so sweet & attentive. Our food came fast & was yummy. She checked on us a few times, ensuring everything was okay & drinks were full. We were sat right next to the window, with a gorgeous view. The gift shop was adorable and the cashier was so friendly. Overall, I am so glad we stopped!
Very nice place. My first time ever coming here. I was just passing through so can't comment on the resort. I got some jared jelly and pickles. Scenery is beautiful.Service: 5/5
Love Country Stores, and this was no exception. A bit small, but there is a restaurant attached which I will visit next trip to Callaway. Employees were very friendly!
Breakfast is served everyday till 11:00 a.m. I enjoyed a breakfast this morning it was very good. Try the muscadine preserves with your biscuit it was awesome. Haley was my waitress and she did a very good job checked on me several times during her busy schedule.
The food was great as usual! I recommend the country Chicken and eggs! Our server was nice and apologetic for not being able to serve us in a timely manner. I was there for breakfast, but It was not busy/crowded anymore But the service was very slow because they were short staff. But other than that I enjoyed my breakfast with my family with an overlooking beautiful view!
Good food and the prices are reasonable, especially considering it’s a Callaway store. My big complaint would be portion size. I ordered the country fried steak and I’m used to seeing Texas-sized portions as big as a dinner plate. This was the smallest country fried steak I’ve ever had, about the size of a saucer. The muscadine preserves were very good and the sweet cornbread, served in. A basket for the table with biscuits, was a hit as well. Be advised that the restaurant is currently open only for breakfast and lunch and closes at 3pm.
Most restaurants were closed for New Year's Day so I decided to give this one a try.I ordered a country omelette and added a pancake. The omelette was pretty good.My hasbrowns could have been more crisp but mainly for personal preference. The pancake didn't taste as homemade as I expected, including the biscuit. Coffee was fresh and hot.Orders seemed to be filled pretty quick considering the holiday crowd. I also had the pleasure of having Mrs.Bonnie as my waitress. She was very attentive to refills and questions about the menu;southern hospitality at its finest!
My family traveled 2 hours to come to see the Fantasy in Lights. We drove up to the Country Store to enjoy an early dinner and some Christmas shopping before time for our lights. We got there a few minutes after 3 and they close at 4. First, it took a while for someone to come take our drink order and by the time someone came by, we went ahead to place our order for food as well. I went to browse the shop while waiting on food so I would have an idea about what I would like to get from the store, and went back to the table. Food was good, service was friendly, but when we finished eating and got to the front to grab a few gift items, they had the store area blocked off. I asked the lady by the door if the shop was closed already, and she said “We close at 4”. I look at my phone and it was 5 minutes til 4. I come from retail and closing at 4 means you take care of people until they leave if already in the building and lock doors at 4. They had already locked the doors and another man and his young daughter came up at that time 5 min til 4 to shop the store as well. I’m very disappointed that given the rainy weather, and Holiday season, that they were so quick to shut down the store, even for those of us who were already inside and spent money on dinner. This puts a very bad taste in my mouth for their customer service. It’s a shame that in this economy, they chose not to accept customer sales.
We only had breakfast here but it really hit the spit. I had an omelet all the way with sausage and hash browns and the omelet was well made and tasted wonderful. I even liked the coffee not to mention the view. It is a great little place to sneak out to. The price was not. bad for the amount and quality of food you get. The servers were very friendly and nice.
