Camden American Karate and Fitness opened September 2013 and is owned/operated by me, Heather Renwick. I started in martial arts at the age of 8. At 18 I took some time off when I joined the Army. I restarted on my martial arts journey in 2011 and have since obtained my second degree black belt June 2013. When my instructor decided to retire my husband and I decided to purchase the studio and keep Karate in Camden.
Martial Arts has had an enormous impact in my life and I want to continue to make a difference in the lives of children. Martial arts is NOT just about fighting. (Class doesn't even closely resemble the MMA style ring). Martial arts is about control, discipline, self-defense skills, tradition, confidence, courage and focus just to name a few. I encourage you and your family to stop in and check us out!
