You have to appreciate the public libraries found in many Maine towns. The Camden library is particularly nice as it sits on high ground overlooking the harbor. The grounds are nicely maintained next to a park.
Hands down the best play area for small kids and the storytime is also a must. For adults there is a beautiful building to explore and books and other resources that can be borrowed or used.
A great library. Librarians will go out of their way to help you find a book held by other libraries or a scientific article that you might need. Cooperative.
The Library is a wonderful resource. The room they have for local history is priceless and the staff there is wonderful. The view from the library grounds is a scene out of a postcard.

You can take out more than books at the Camden Library. We checked out a very adequate telescope for a bit of stargazing. Fantastic place in a beautiful town.
Cute little library, beautiful yard and amphitheatre
the Camden Library is one of the most pleasant places to visit when in town. It is one of the reasons my wife and I purchased our home in Camden nearly thirty years ago and there a few places in the nation where you can enjoy a magazine, newspaper or book more than in the comfortable chairs near the bay view window overlooking Camden Harbor.
Wonderful library. Make time to visit with Donovan, the historian on the second floor, to hear excellent stories of Camden and the region.
