The Camdenton Black Belt Academy is a studio offering training in TaeKwonDo.
Camdenton Black Belt Academy is an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) approved, family run, conveniently located Martial Arts institute. The CBBA specializes in teaching TaeKwonDo (TKD), a Korean based Martial Art that emphasizes kicking and agility. All age groups from tykes to adults are accepted with open arms for training.
The resident TKD master, Thomas Leigh, has over 20 years experience in the art of TaeKwonDo, as well a being a practitioner of Hapkido. His well-rounded nature comes from years of teaching countless students, and has led him to become a very experienced instructor. He fosters in his students many traits, such as, integrity, respect, and a good work ethic. In 2003, Master Leigh was inducted into the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Houston, TX. In 2004, Master Leigh was also inducted into the U.S.A Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the Mixed Martial Arts Instructor of the Year. In addition, he is a member of AAU, Midwest Martial Arts Assosiation, and the Musahdo Hall of Fame.
His son, Ethan Leigh, a fellow instructor, also has 20 years experience in TKD. As a skilled combatant, Ethan was a champion at the Junior Olympics three times. Several occasions he became a USSSA National champion, and a USNTF National champion. At age 14, he was inducted into the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Later on, in 2007, Master Ethan Leigh was inducted into the Musahdo Hall of Fame as well.
