Camp A Way Campground is our 128th stop and we stayed for 7 days. Very convenient to I80 and 180 and less than 10 minutes to downtown. Check in was quick and the staff was personable/professional and we were escorted to our site. Chose a patio site smoker, fire pit, patio furniture, swing and extra landscaping - our site was huge! Speaking of huge, the dog park was one of the biggest we have run across in our travel and had nice grass. The park is kept very clean as was the laundry room. There are very mature trees throughout the park which provide excellent shade on the warm days. In terms of road noise, there is some but hardly noticeable inside. If you have kids, this place would be excellent given all the activities they have available. All in all, would rate this park a 4.5 and would definitely stay here again in the future. Connectivity 2:30 pm: Verizon 241.0 down/26.8 up; T-Mobile 71.8 down/3.89 up; Camp WiFi 70.0 down/42.7 up and was excellent throughout our stay.
We have RV traveled full time for 4 year. This is one of the nicest campgrounds I’ve seen. It has an fenced amazing dog area that is shady and large enough for dogs to run. Conveniently close to highway. Excellent staff. Lots of activities for kids/ even tens. Spacious sites and lots of trees.Rooms: 5/5
I can't say enough positive things about this place. The location is very accessible for a stop off or a long stay with city access. The people are kind and attentive. The grounds are clean and attractive. They pay attention to details like flowers and a neatly trimmed landscape. The number of entertaining games and activities for the young and the young at heart would keep you busy for weeks. The pool and hot tub are clean and maintained well. This more than a place to park an RV; it's a destination.
This place is great for kids and dogs. A decent sized dog park enough for my Husky to get a good sprint in and lots of shade around. The kids had a blast with the various amenities like train rides, pool, hot tub etc. It’s right off the highway too. I would stay here again if traveling over in that area again.Hotel highlightsKid-friendly, Great value
Camp A Way RV Park is big rig friendly. We stayed in a 45' 5th wheel for a month and had no issues navigating the park. The main road is a little narrow, and is only an issue if two RV's are trying to pass at the same time. If staying towards the back of the park, traffic from I-180 and I-80 will be very loud. Everyone we interacted with at the park was friendly and helpful. They have back-in and pull-through sites throughout the park. Almost all sites are fairly level and include a firepit and picnic table. Water pressure was okay, and the quality of the water was decent, but we chose to use bottle water. They have a large dog park, and plenty of open spaces to walk your four-legged friends. They have a nice size pool area, and many kid activities around the park. From playgrounds, to a huge water slide, batting cage, and more. The restroom and laundry facility was clean and always stocked. The park adheres to quiet times, however, staying at the back of the park will be very loud with the Interstate traffic. The park is located minutes away from many restaurants and shopping. This location has good cell service. We used an amplified antenna, and the following speeds were observed. AT&T 10 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up. T-Mobile was 50 Mbps down, 8 Mbps up, and Verizon was 20 Mbps down and 7 Mbps up. If this review was helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks
I can’t say enough about how great this place is! Jennifer and the rest of the staff are passionate for excellence, and it shows! One day was not long enough, even with late check out. We will be back! Also, highly recommend the golf-cart rental. Thank you!!Rooms: 5/5
Great find, right off the freeway. Had some car noise at night. We tent camped #1. Very spacious site with shade. Family and children oriented with train rides and activities. Nice pool and friendly/helpful staffRooms: 4/5
Our family loves coming here every year. It's a great campground that is well maintained, has plenty of shade and has friendly staff. There are so many fun kid activities. This is our favorite place to campService: 5/5
This is a wonderful campground with great amenities like showers, clean bathrooms and a great playground for the kids. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Very easy access off of I-80. The site was level and beautiful.Service: 5/5
I just got home from a month long stay here at Camp-a-way. It was planned for 2 weeks but due to the Transmission going out on my truck I had to extend. I'll start with the park, it is beautiful and very friendly. Every night the kids get the chance to go on a ride around the park in a roller coaster like trailer. The park is very well maintained and cared for. The staff, they are super friendly people, caring and well trained. There is some freeway noise, but from my spot C5, it was very tolerable. When walking through the park, it never bothered us. The Dog park is epic!! My spot is so level that I didn't even have to do anything to level my RV from side to side. The power and water was more than enough to keep my equipment in top shape. The Wi-Fi is by far the best I've ever had in an RV park. When I found out my transmission was bad, I contacted the office and they worked with me to be able to stay in my spot until my truck was ready. They were prepared to help me stay through the 4th of July weekend that was sold out. I can not say enough good about the staff and the owners of this place. When staying in Lincoln Nebraska this place should be your first choice!!
