Hosts Ray and Melissa are Top Notch. Very helpful and friendly. We had a brilliant 3 month stay. Holiday weekends included LIVE Music! Hosts were quick to suggest restaurants and local places of interest. Pool well maintained. Hosts always available and working the property.
Very beautiful, peaceful and fun place to stay! Ray, Melissa and their helpers make for an enjoyable stay and are there to help if needed. They have great amenities for all to enjoy. Even got to experience a live band one weekend!! Never stayed at a campground that did that before!! Would highly recommend for a weekend trip or longer.
One of the best campgrounds I have stayed at. Full hook up no hassle no mess. Owners are very helpful and kind. Open year round.
Ray and Melissa are such awesome hosts! Always available, kind, helpful. Ray helped us park our 33ft trailer, and then came back to help make sure it was level. A couple of times while we were there, Ray brought new rock to our parking spot so we didn’t get muddy! Very nice atmosphere, celebrations for the beginning of the season and the 4th of July. Became friends pretty early on, and look forward to staying there again in the future. Beautiful surroundings right next to a river. A definite gem!!! Highly recommend!! Playground: Putting in brand new equipment when we left. Dog-friendliness: Just about everyone had a dog!!
A++++ Stayed from 06/06/22 through 08/20/22 76 days. Here are the basics, then my personal experience. Beautiful campground: Lake on one side; river on opposite side. Yes, you can fish, tube/kayak down the river, or sit on the bank and enjoy. Reasonable prices. The longer you stay, the better the price. Many options for lodging: Cabins fully furnished, tent sites, RV rental, tiny house where I stayed. Some RV’s have their own washer/dryer! Internet with full access to many TV apps. Ask Ray for password. Pool with slide outside, which was always clean and maintained. Playground for the littles with plenty of equipment. Basketball court. Laundry room. Bathhouse if you stay in tent but want a shower. Plenty of fire pits and picnic tables on both sides. Parking is easy and plentiful. Pets: Plenty of grass and walking trail. Ray does enforce pet-poop-pick-up so bring a bag or scooper! Safety: Ray has full campground security surveillance. I never even locked my doors the entire time. Ray has your six 100% !!! Shopping: Hyvee is 6 miles out easy drive. Walmart is 9.7 miles drive through town. South Federal Laundromat is 7.5 miles easy drive and is awesome!! See my review. Casey’s and Dollar General is 6.6 miles if you need something quick. Door Dash does deliver here! Taxi service as well. Mail, including Amazon, delivers. Ray and Melissa are the on-site owners and are happily available if you need ANYTHING! These folks are friendly, comfortable, and accommodating above and beyond. Need anything or have a concern? No problem! Just ask Ray and it shall be done. Set in a beautiful heavily wooded area of Rock Falls, Iowa, this is a must-see place to stop and recharge your brain and body. I spent 2.5 months here working on a windmill project and have been to many places over the past five years working over the road. Nothing else has come close to the utopia atmosphere this place provides. It’s quiet, calm, relaxing, and with an abundance of wildlife to discover and enjoy. If you need therapy, look no further than here. I only wish my job lasted much longer here. I will miss it. Thank youuuuuu!!!
Owner Ray was incredibly accommodating for us. Passing through on a larger trip, arriving late due to weather, Ray was cheerful and fun. We did not get to stay long enough to enjoy the amenities, but it was beautiful and quiet. Nice shower house, full hookups, pool looks beautiful!
Me and my family are traveling living life to the fullest. Our vehicle broke down in clear Lake. Not the way to start off . We were told about this camp ground. We spent a week and 1/2 there deciding what we’re going to do with the vehicle. This place is very comfortable very clean very friendly I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a camping adventure wish we would’ve been there in the summer to enjoy more activities but I love it as the weather was breaking..The owners make you feel like home all year around there or pay for individuals like us who are traveling. We will definitely be back in the summer for more adventures
This place was amazing. Very peaceful. I travel all over the country for work and this has by far been one of the best places I’ve stayed at. Ray was very accommodating for all my needs. And the camp ground its self is a beautiful sight to see. A pond on one side and a river for tubing on the other. Highly recommend checking this gem out!!!!
Second time I have stayed at this location. Super quiet and extremely friendly and helpful owners. As a full time travel tech that deals with terrible hotels all the time, this place was so refreshing. Myself and any crew I work with will always stay here in the future!
Ray and Melissa were very helpful. Rented a fully furnished apartment with patio on the river. Very nice surroundings. Quiet. Great accommodations. Everything was clean and worked. Bed was very comfortable. Stayed for 14 days April, 2023.
