Camp Bluebird is the only camp in the Wabash Valley designed for adult cancer patient survivors. Camp Wabashi has been home to Camp Bluebird since 1990.
For many campers, Camp Bluebird is one of the most important opportunities that will have to share their experiences with other cancer survivors. It helps survivors by providing education, creative outlets and time away from day-to-day pressures and concerns.
Camp Bluebird is an important addition to the medical therapies campers receive through the Hux Cancer Center, helping them to love with the diagnosis of cancer and focus on life.
Camp Bluebird, supported by Union Hospital Foundation, is a special project managed by the volunteers of Hux Cancer Center and oncology educators. Camp Bluebird's success is due to the generous donations from the community and countless hours given by Union Hospital volunteers.
