Very upsetting experience. I sent my puppy's fist daycare here. I'm glad he passed his interview and after the interview, they said I can leave him if I want to. I left him and when I picked him up, while I was waiting for him to come out, the receptionist said my dog was freaked out by other dogs and he was crying a lot and not eating at all. So when I asked her if he's okay, she said they checked and he's okay. When I saw him, I noticed that his eyes were different than usual. His eyes were very watery. At that point, I thought it made sense because he cried a lot. When I got home that night, I noticed his right eye became swollen and red. Next day morning, he couldn't open his right eye with lots of yellow discharge. I brought him to the vet The vet told me this would have happened if he had been hit or scratched in the eye by another dog. This was the first day and this problem arose. I don't know why Camp Bow Wow didn't call me if my dog was crying, stressed out, not fitting in, and not eating. Also, I don't understand why when it looked like he got hurt, no caution was taken into place. When I checked the web camera for small dogs through out the day, the indoor cam was hard to see because of the light reflection, so I couldn't see how he is doing on my end. When I noticed there's something wrong with his eye, I contacted them to figure out more details what happened during daycare. They emailed me they will get back to me asap but after I sent them my dog's medical history and request reimbursement of vet fees, they haven't responded to my email yet. Very irresponsible of them ignoring this situation. I understand any accidents can happen. Especially, for dogs. But I just don't understand why I wasn't notified when my dog was crying, stressed out, and injured by another dog. I would not recommend this facility for your precious dogs.
Was looking for a kennel close to my house and happened upon Camp Bow Wow and from the moment I walked in I felt it would be a good fit. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and they have a number of services at reasonable prices. You can’t go wrong checking them out, your dog will love you for it
I love the friendly staff. Other dog daycare‘s I have been to smell like a dog bathroom all the time, I appreciate the cleanliness of Camp Bow Wow. It has a welcoming environment for me and my pets. My favorite thing is the camp cameras that give me peace of mind looking in on my dogs while I’m at work or travel, knowing that they are well cared for. I love that there are locations across the US that I can access. I would highly recommend Camp Bow Wow
We use Camp Bow Wow for training classes with Claire and camp. Training.. we started the level 1 training when our pup, Eddie was 5 months old. He did great. Claire is an excellent trainer and she explains how we can carry out the training at home too. She is really good at her craft and I swear she is the dog whisperer. My pup absolutely loves Claire and so do we. We also did the level 2 training with Claire and Eddie did great! She is fantastic! The camp is also a great way to socialize and Eddie comes home from camp and zonks out for hours. It's fun to see him playing with the other dogs on the cams. The staff there clearly loves dogs and check in and out is super easy. I would highly recommend Camp Bow Wow in Duluth!
I’ve never left my pup anywhere outside of a family member’s home, and for the first time to leave him while on vacation, Camp Bow Wow did an exceptional job! I will definitely be bringing him back. It was amazing to be able to constantly watch how Keed was doing on the cameras, and he was his usual happy self when I picked him up! He had a blast and vacation of his own with Duluth’s amazing staff, even was super laid back over the next couple of days because he exhausted himself from having so much fun! I highly recommend.
I was nervous about getting my first puppy this year, but Claire and Camp Bow Wow have been so supportive and helpful! We did level 1 and 2 training classes at Monkey Wrench Brewing how cool is it that Claire does training at a brewery?! and we absolutely loved it. Even in a group class setting, Claire made sure to give each dog special one on one attention. I also started taking my dog to day camp and she loves socializing and learning how to interact with other dogs. She always whines when I pick her up because she doesn’t want to leave! Highly recommend signing up for Claire’s classes and taking your dog to camp!
I used their service for dog training only. The instructor Claire is great. But lacks communication skills. Before booking Claire was very responsive and emailed back promptly. After paying, the notice of our class starting and location was sent within less then 24 hours notice. I missed 2 classes and one was canceled by her. I email to try and schedule make ups . No response was ever received. I should report a refund from my credit card company for the classes I never received.
Took my dog here for obedience training and day camp but the longer I took her the worse my experience with this place got. Staff and I’m calling out names CLAIRE, is unresponsive to emails and doesn’t follow through with promises. Whoever answers the phone is also extremely rude. The first time I called I got placed on hold for an hour because the lazy person working the front clearly forgot someone was on the line. The customer service is just horrible on all levels. You think you’re paying for quality service but that is just not the case at all. The group training classes are the only positive experience I had with this place but even that, the trainer: CLAIRE will promise to put you on the list for the next class but that is a lie. There’s no reason I should have to continuously email and call and receive the same empty promise and then ultimately get ghosted. This place is unprofessional and honestly a good experience turned completely bad all because of the people that work there. Do better.
