My family loves it here! 30ish minutes from KC. Campgrounds are kept clean. Reasonably priced camping. Nice playground for the Littles. Trails all around the lake. Each campsite comes w/ picnic table & fire pit/ grill. Playground: Nice size play ground. Properly maintained. Restrooms: Multiple Restrooms throughout. Shower house & Restrooms was clean. Dog-friendliness: Dogs welcome. Must be kept on a leash 6ft or tied up 10ft. Make sure to clean up after your pets Picnic area: The beach has multiple tables & grills throughout. Campsites come w/ table & grill/fire pit combo.
This is a great camp ground. They have fire pits ready and wood easy to pitch at the gate. Get a car pass to come and go as you want during your stay if you rent a location. Available with running water and electric but those spots get taken quick so book ahead. Every camp spot has a good view and are pretty far apart. Walking trails are also easily accessible and there are bathrooms close to each camp spot. Comes with a patio table and fire pit. Super close to a super small town called Paradise that has a great restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner if you don’t want to cook. Beach access to go fishing too!
Camp Branch campground is just as nice as Crows Creek, although I think there's a little bit more RV traffic there. It's definitely the same beautiful close to the lake has lots of amenities and restrooms is well maintained. It's very serene and peaceful
Nice place to camp. Pros.. No RVs, nice lake views. Cons.. Can't tie anything to the trees no hammocks, and there's a range nearby where gun nuts practice for the next school massacre. Not great for dogs or people who prefer peace and quiet.
Clean bathrooms, hot showers, very nice park. Restrooms: Very clean
Great campground. Close enough to home, far enough away! Only problem we had was the showers had some really hot water.
Always a great trip. Safe place for the kids to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Clean campsites and restrooms. Beautifuls trails and fishing near many of the campsites.
The electric sites are primitive, no gravel, and not every one has water, the hosts were nice and helpful with questions, and the area was pleasant and safe at night. A little pricey just to have electric hookup. The shower house was large and clean.
Camp Branch has grown up over the past 15 to 20 years. Lots of trees for shade. I visited Memorial Day Weekend, and they were full. Did not feel cramped, though. We stayed in RV. There's a playground and cove for fishing from the bank.
I love this place so much! It's like my home away from home. I do wish people would consider other campers around them more though. Especially when they are camping with their children/family. We can make this work for all of us and have a great time without getting belligerently drunk and screaming at our gf/bf and strangers? all night right? Some of us come out here to get away from the drama of the world. Don't be bringing drama to my happy place y'all! Please? Glad we talked Happy camping
