Very clean, well kept place to swim. I suggest bringing your own life jacket as they can run out. Also sand toys for the kids since there is a small beach. The splash pad was a great place for adults and kids a like to cool off. Loved paddle boarding...had never done it before! Kayaks, canoe, pedal boat all for you to use. Small concession stand but we brought a cooler with lunch, snacks and drinks. Outstanding, we will definitely be back!!
Great place to take the kids for the day! It's a treated pond. They have a zip line, lots of inflatables to play on, a splash pad, swing set, and concession stand. There is a bathroom with 2 stalls and no changing room so have your suit on before you come! Also it's very rocky no sand anywhere. Everyone must wear a life jacket here to swim.
We had our company picnic hear. All kinds of things to do for all age groups. My 2 year old loved the splash pad and kiddy area and our 11 year old loved the water activities for bigger kids.
I'ma out of towner and visiting a friend in Van Wert & we came here BUT this place is a fantastic family adventure! I highly recommend this place for any family to visit! Fun fun fun
the place is very beautiful it is the first year that we go and we loved it just they should clean the restrooms few times during the day and I think they should have more trained lifeguards because today my three-year-old daughter was drowning right in front of the girl who was sitting as a lifeguard and she did nothing to help her, she remained seated….my husband had to jump into the water to get the girl out…. We were watching our children but the lifeguard is supposed to do her job because we have seen that sometimes they are just talking or using their cell phones, thank God we were attentive otherwise something unfortunate had happened…. If the lifeguards are not trained, hire those who really know what they are doing.
As a parent and a professional, I love the environment at Camp Clay. My children enjoy all of the activities and I appreciate the careful supervision and attention to safety. Camp Clay is always very generous in providing aqua passes to our students at Lincolnview for carnival raffles and incentives! There's something for everyone to do. Thanks, Camp Clay!
So fun! Kids had a blast! I think they could use some rope ladders to help them get up on the inflatables but other than that we had a great time!
Far exceeded my expectations! Prices are fair, equipment is up to date and in proper working order, and staff was friendly. There is a splash pad for little ones and skill level goes up to fun for adults including kayak/paddle boarding and zip line into the water. A very enjoyable way to spend the day off the beaten path and we will certainly be back!
We love Camp Clay! Well maintained, lots to do. Can take your own snacks and drinks. The only thing we hate is the life jackets that make it hard to climb on the inflatables.
We love camp clay and have came the past 3 summers, however today we decided to just come to use the splash pad and it was to my surprise that I had to pay full price for my kids just to use it. I'm not saying there should be a fee at all, but $5 a piece just for a splash pad is kinda ridiculous..
