This park nice, neat, green and clean. There are kids playground, picnic tables, clean restrooms and basketball courts. You can walk, jog, picnic or just lay down on the green grass. There is also a library in the park for those who enjoy reading. There are so many parking spaces inside the park EV charging stations in some spaces and on street.
Great park connected to a school and a public library. Out front, next to the basketball courts, there are three wooden chess tables with boards installed. One table has a bench removed to provide space for a wheelchair. Unfortunately the chess tables don't have many trees nearby and therefor do not have much shade.
The splash pad during the summer is the best for little kids! Lots of green space for picnics and bbq. That doesn't even take into account the library or the Saturday farmer's market. The basketball courts get a lot of use, as do the green spaces for soccer and workouts and gatherings. Community spaces and playgrounds are also nice. A wonderful neighborhood park, and lots of activities for locals.
Great park for Groundingand some quick healing UVrays. Use the free DMinder app to safely get the good healthy light frequencies to the bareretina. Obviously don't look directly sun. It's science, read the decades of research, nobody is making money off of the ultimate nutrient sun and the ultimate antioxidant grounding-like food-puts the necessary negative charge in our positively charged body, both allow the body to start healing. Think of a beach walk how relaxed you are, sleep well, then at home you stay inside, stare at screens and start feeling worse again. These are free; learn, try, be happier.
I recently visited Virginia Park in Santa Monica and had a wonderful experience. The park is well-maintained and offers plenty of space for people to relax, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors. The grassy areas are perfect for picnics or throwing a frisbee around, and the playground is great for kids to burn off some energy. One thing I highly recommend is checking out the farmers market on Saturdays. The market offers a wide variety of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and delicious snacks. It's a great opportunity to support local farmers and try some new foods. Overall, I would give Virginia Park a four-star rating. It's a great place to spend a few hours on a sunny day, and the farmers market is definitely worth checking out. Whether you're looking for a place to play with your kids, have a picnic, or just enjoy some fresh air, Virginia Park is definitely worth a visit.
Great big beautiful park in my neighborhood. Meet loads of interesting people there. Dog friendly and vast. Including the Pico branch library and the Fitness Center and Teen Center.
What a gem! This park wasn't so nice when I was a kid. It's become a truly great neighborhood park for everyone -- in the middle of the city. It has a water play area, a great playground for all ages, library, community center, basketball courts, clean bathrooms, tables and benches perfect for chess. Seems well used, loved and appreciated by people in the neighborhood of all ages. When the farmer's market isn't there, there is ample free parking. You'd never know the 10 fwy was two blocks away.
This is an incredible place to park. And by park, I mean sit in my car and watch people enjoying their public space. And when I'm in my car, I often feel so free and satisfied and grateful..... I've been known to just nod out with a little vacant smile on my face.
Nice and clean in every way they let you set up a tent for party. And great place for kids to have fun.
Family friendly park with water jets spurting up, great for little kids and parents. Swings, library, parking on streets and adjacent parking lots off of Pico Virginia. Don't know the schedule, but they host a farmers market. Well balanced enjoyable park. Public library onside.
