Camp Hilltop is a traditional overnight camp located in the Catskill region of New York. Campers feel comfortable and excel in a non-competitive, structured, and nurturing environment. Family values are the foundation on which Hilltop is built. The daily program consists of 70+ fun-filled activities, and the flexible schedule allows campers to find new passions and develop skills in already-familiar areas. The staff provides quality instruction in all activities including horses, water and land sports, arts and crafts, and throughout the awesome outdoor adventure course. Hilltop offers 2- through 8-week sessions at reasonable rates. One of the keys to Hilltop's success is the staff. The mature and caring staff provides superior supervision with a 4 to 1 camper-to-counselor ratio. Camp is a special place. Campers grow and learn about themselves, try new things, discover hidden talents and reach out without the fear of negative criticism. The camp experience is designed to help children mature socially, emotionally, intellectually, and morally.

It is through the fun and challenging activities that campers learn to work together, make choices, take responsibility, develop creative thinking skills, and gain confidence-building independence and self-reliance. All are necessary steps on a child’s path to a healthy and productive life.
Camp Hilltop and the Young family’s goal is to provide children with an exciting, diversified and wholesome camping experience. This is accomplished through a large, flexible program that is structured and well supervised. We believe youth should have a taste of different activities, some of which they will enjoy greatly, while others may be remembered and re-explored when they are older. We feel it is essential to blend wholesome, challenging and cultural programs into the day.
Camp is like a family. Family values are the catalyst or the glue from which the daily life of Camp Hilltop is built. The cabin is the camper’s family. Hilltop believes in respect and responsibility for ourselves and those around us. We have established rules for safety and respect for all members of the Hilltop Community. We help members build an arsenal of tools to aid in working through conflict, commitment, confidence, goal setting, the giving of love and discipline and consistency. Camp Hilltop is a family.
