Camp Lovejoy is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady's very own Summer Day Camp located in the Helderberg Mountains of Altamont, NY.
A summer at Camp Lovejoy is an amazing experience for youth in Schenectady!
Each morning, for seven weeks, busses roll into the campgrounds and more than 200 inner-city youth stream down the steps greeted by smiling, caring Camp Counselors.
Camp Lovejoy is a summer haven, engaging Boys & Girls Club members in exciting programs and providing opportunity for new friendships, experiences and lasting memories.
Enrolled campers are transported daily by bus to Camp Lovejoy. Parents may also drive campers to and from camp if they choose or if busses are full. Breakfast snack, lunch and an afternoon snack are included in the fee. All campers enjoy a wide range of activities including daily swims, swim lessons, sports, Project Adventure, arts & crafts, dance, science & nature, and more more!
Specialty Camp programs are included in the price of tuition and take place during the morning session at Camp Lovejoy. When you register for camp, select your camper's preference! Specialty Camp programs run for 2 week sessions.
