Wasn’t a fit for us. One of my daughters counselors was, well, just..mean. The activities were a bit in-appropriately matched for the kids’ age. My rising 5th grade daughter went on a ‘fairy hunt’. Hmmm. The food was ‘ok’. The lack of AC ensured that we try the camp in early June last year but thank God we didn’t try it this year! Yikes!
This year will be my son's 3rd year to attend and he has been counting down the days. The camp itself is beautiful and the staff is amazing. You will not find a better bargain anywhere in the area for a quality Christian camp. My son prefers all the lake activities kayaking, canoeing, sailing and a friend of ours is all about the horseback riding activities.
My girls absolutely LOVE and look forward to attending CRS every year! They make great friends and have a wonderful time! The staff are attentive and understand that some may have more difficulty in adjusting away from home than others. It's a Christian camp that is God centered!
Our boys will be there for their 4th summer in a row and they LOVE it. They spend two weeks every year and would probably enjoy another one if we would let them. Our older son is going on the Adventure Trip this year and then will spend his second week as C.I.A. Growing up and thankful they have had the experience of CRS. They have gone to other camps with youth group/church. All high end, air conditioned cushy places - very nice - very expensive. And still -- they cannot wait to get to CRS. It is hands down the best possible place for them to spend a part of their summer. Down to earth. Christ centered. Loved.
Great place for the kids. They do all sorts of fun activities. I recommend just wish it wasn't so hot during the summers around here. No ac in the cabins, but still a fun place.
There isn't enough room on this page to go into detail about the Camp of the Rising Son..... ITS SIMPLY AMAZING!!! THE STAFF,THE CURRICULUM, THE SCENERY...... I could go on and on and on..... but u must see it for yourself,!!! My daughter is going to LOVE IT this summer!!!
I’ve been going to this camp for 7 years now and this is the best camp to go to. They have new stuff for you to do everyday and at the end of the week you get to make scrap books tohave you remember that year. There’s no downside to this camp except getting bit by bugs and it’s amazing!
Super fun place for kids to go to camp. God centered summer camp for youth. They also offer a rafting and climbing adventures for 13- up.
This place is Awesome. Our kids look forward to it every summer. This year we have a 4 year, 3 year and 2 year campers.
Love this camp. Took my kid there for her first time!! I attended as a child!
