Camp Palos offers summer day camp and year round camping opportunities. It is owned and operated by Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

Description

Camp Palos summer day camp offers themed programs for girls entering grades 1 – 12. Perfect for first-time campers or girls looking to join us at camp for a day experience. The program at Camp Palos includes lots of opportunities to build outdoor skills, explore the camp and make new friends. Girl planning ensures that no two weeks are exactly the same. Campers going into grade 4 and up may choose to participate in an overnight experience on Thursday; overnighting in one of four cabin sites, sleeping in the platform tents, or even pitching a tent under the stars.

Campers and staff bring a sack lunch to camp each day, except when there is a cookout. Meals during the overnight are provided.

Camp Palos and everyone there is incredible! My daughter just finished her third year and will be back for more! She loves reuniting with her camp friends and all of the counselors every year! The activities, field trips, and cookouts this year were amazing! If you are looking for a true day camp experience, this is it! Thank you Girl Scouts and Camp Palos! See you next summer!
Such a great small GS camp tucked back into Palos Park. I went here as a girl back in the early 90s, so very happy to see it is still here. My daughter attended a day camp there and loved it. Kind counselors, small group sizes, and clean facilities.
The administration at the Camp Palos summer camp always said to leave a toxic work environment... so I never went back! They do not respect their staff and do not create a positive and respectful work environment.
This was my daughter's first time at Camp Palos and she absolutely loves. This was also her first time sleeping somewhere else that wasn't home. I was so worried about her, but was relieved when she came home and said she has a blast!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!
My experience there when I was a kid was amazing. It was my get away from home. I made a lot a friends I still talk today I also learned so much. Great place for your kids to become women
A fun place for girl scouts to go. But it isnt very clean lets just say spiders and bugs in EVERY bathroom.Keep in mind there is a camp out on thursday ,and no technology is alloud. at least it depends on your camp instructor.
Fun camping experience plus a Gaga ball pit!
