We stayed in RV spot number 70 and it was a great experience all around. Bathrooms the showers or super clean. Laundry machines work great the front office and the shuttle drivers to downtown or top notch. Great place to stay, close to downtown and folly Beach and the municipal golf course. We RV a lot and this is one of the best places we've stayed. Nearby activities: Everything is within a 20 minute drive in all directions. Plenty of places to eat, shop, visit and just relax Safety: We felt very safe here with the guarded gate and the active park staff on duty. Walkability: As far as walking and biking within the park, it was awesome. If you want to walk or bike outside of the park, that's a no-go even though they are building a sidewalk outside of the gate. Not sure where that'll take you but is the only downer.
We stayed here just one night on our journey up the east coast FL to ME and this is a beautiful park - Huge! We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amenities. It was perfect for a sleepover and to visit Charleston we took an Uber - very easy. Showers were clean. Green space for the pup. Well kept grounds. Would definitely stay again.
I want so badly to give this childhood memory of mine 5 stars, but cannot. The camp sites are not level, the place has really grown up AND has poison oak EVERYWHERE. We noticed it around both campsites where we and other family members were. It was very close to the chairs and side walks in the water park. Needless to say, our dog got in it and now we are covered in poison oak.. so be mindful when booking. Otherwise everything was great. The staff in the campground store and at the entrance were all very nice and helpful. The food at the water park was tasty, the bike trails and scenery were beautiful.
Great campground considering you have no privacy. Our neighbors kept on cutting through our site to get to theirs even when we were there. Park is really nice! Bath house is really clean and all the park amenities are wonderful.Location: 5/5
Wonderful location and fantastic campground. Sites are dirt/gravel but mostly level. All sites are not created equally. Many have full hookups, some do not. Heavily wooded so if you’re using satellite Wifi, you may have trouble, and Wifi otherwise is spotty. Absolutely love the biking trails and renovated fishing pier. Beautiful sunset view along the trails. There is a dog park with water access, but we don’t let our dog in South Carolina waters because of the presence of alligators. They have a huge light display for the holidays throughout the park. Highly recommend for a fun, family camping experience.
This park exceeded my expectations. WAY more amenities and options than I anticipated. Next time, we will plan to stay longer. I mean...they even had a raggae music festival with food trucks during our stay....not sure if they do that for all their guest or just super good looking, first class, incredibly cool dudes like my me and my Son. Anywho...be sure to go to the fishing pier at sunrise and/or sunset. It's an epic view with abundant wildlife. Try crabbing or shrimping from there! Even this rookie landed a crab and about a dozen shrimp. Oh...bring your OneWheel if you have one. Shrinks the size of the park dramatically. Considering bringing bikes if you need two wheels. Enjoy and I hope you catch the crabs!
Very nice campground only 15 minutes to historical district. Nice large roomy sites. Lots of trees provide shade and privacy. The check-in staff were pleasant. Although the campground was very busy, I only saw two or three empty sites, it was quiet during the day and at night. Walkability: Lots of trails Playground: Nice large playground with full size chess pieces,
We camped in our camper travel trailer, so we didnt have room to rate. The attendants and the staff at the camp store are wonderful! They are all very helpful and easy to talk to. They have extra activities for families. The campground is very well taken care of and the park is fun for everyone!Service: 5/5
The water park is the best! The sites are nice size and wooded, plenty of shade for crazy hot days. Super nice place and the dog park is so remarkably coolLocation: 5/5
