Owned and operated by the Campisi family, the original landmark, “Egyptian Lounge” has been legendary for being “the place to go” by celebrities and locals in the know who want the real deal when it comes to good Italian. Great service and delicious food. The cheese bread was amazing. Tuesdays is $8.95 spaghetti and 1/2 price wine. Nice atmosphere and the Italian creme cake was as good as Eatzi.
Very short staffed. But the food is amazing ... Makes up for it. Awesome array of food . Pizza ..pasta .. lasagna .. bruschetta.. baked artichokes.. cakes. And more .. thank you!Food: 5/5
The service we received was good. The server was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was ok. My pasta was filling but a Little bland. I enjoyed the crab claws and the bread served with it was fresh and warm!
Was a great little place. Went for a school fundraiser. Nice to see a place still supporting school fundraisers. Started with the artichoke hearts. Offered a fantastic smell and was pretty good. The kids had pizza and the Alfredo fettuccine. Was really amazed at the pizza. Perfectly cooked with a wonderfully crispy crust. Alfredo was good as well. Main course was the combo platter and the eggplant Primavera. Both were fantastic! Waitress suggested a bottle of wine to accompany dinner. Excellent choice. Monday and Tuesday are half price bottles of wine so worth a visit. Plan on going and trying this place several more times.
Very nice restaurant. We did my mom's 80 birthday party here they were extremely nice and we had a nice table and it is excellent food.
The restaurant is nice but really dark. Too dark in fact. A table next to us was using a flashlight to see the menu and it was the middle of the day. My companion and I had the mixed lunch that had spaghetti and lasagna and a few other items. I didn't feel like the flavors were very different on any of them, but they were tasty. Would recommend lasagna. Maybe dinner choices are different but this was a lunch special.
CHEERS, CHAD! Best BARTENDER IN THE WEST! Also the bar is where we sit, cozy, friendly, classy customers who share their dishes, stories and life stories. The pizza is my favorite with the old school charm! You won’t need a therapist when you leave this establishment!!
The lasagna taste like stoufers . Bread tasted day old. Salad was soggy not a salad
Everything about Campisi’s was great. The atmosphere, classic music, the friendly staff, and the food most of all. I had the sausage and peppers appetizer and the chicken parm with spaghetti as my entree. Compliment that with a makers mark old fashion made it an all around great meal. Definitely would recommend, definitely will be back.
You know? I had heard all about this place. I ordered lunch for my daughter and myself. I ordered the Sausage and peppers for me, a pizza for my daughter and an order of Calamari to share. My sausage and peppers went into the garbage after two bites. The sausage was VERY dry and tasted old. My daughter ate one slice of her pizza and was less than thrilled... comparing it to Cicis... and the calamari was cold with soggy breading. Having said that, the service was good and the restaurant itself was very nice... I just think their "to go" orders don't get the same attention as in house orders.
