Great place to rent! Staff are knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Apartments are clean and well maintained, although some parts may be slightly worn. Overall an excellent place to live!
These apartments are cheap and great location. The leasing agent is friendly. The maintenance man is phenomenal and responds quickly. But the facilities themselves are eh. My apartment has no sliding drawer for silverware, there's only a narrow sliding drawer that is not big enough to fit a silverware tray in and is way out of the way in the corner. There must have been a person with long brown hair who painted my apartment because their hair is painted into every surface. I spent the couple weeks pulling them out with tweezers but it's disgusting still finding more. There is paint splattered across the rugs and on doorknobs like it was sloppily done. Yet the drawers all had dust and crumbs in them and the bathroom had thick brown grime on the floor like it's never been washed by the previous tenant and it passed inspection that way. The shower is dusty because instead of applying new grouting between the tiles, it was just painted over and so the paint dust rubs off and gets into your shower water, but gets stuck on the tub floor as it's too chunky to flow down into the drain. Basically my complaints are about shortcuts whether because of time or money that make the place look dumpy. I will give them the fact though that it is surprisingly quiet in the apartments even with the loud dogs and babies in my building. And the closet space is huge, though i wish it was separate from the bedroom so everyone going to the bathroom doesn't see your things. Also be prepared when moving in there is no microwave and the only lights are in the bathroom somehow i got 4 different wattage and color bulbs, kitchen, and at the door. There are no ceiling lights or fans and you don't realize until it's dark your first night. There are paid washers and dryers. I have a combo machine in my apartment but it doesn't work well. My sheets aren't even dry after the 3+ hour cycle. It says it's energy efficient but it is inefficient and holds a moldy smell which requires keeping the washer door open when not in use to minimize it. The place is mostly college students and a few couples that walk laps around the buildings during the day but everyone stays to themselves.
The process to get to rent an apartment was ver easy. The young lady in the office is very nice and will be glad to help when needed. She also is there when we need to talk and has been a very big help to our moving in. I give her A 10 all day long. The place is nice we have a very good view of the lake. I would recomend this place to anyone.
Candlewyck was a great community to live in. The walls were soundproof, and I never heard my neighbor's music, unless I was in the hall. I was lucky to have a third-floor apartment with a great view of the lake and it was great to wake up to the beautiful sunrise every morning! It was conveniently close to town, yet allowed me to have adequate space between myself and my neighbor. The management and maintenance team was outstanding and responded to any issue quickly! I love this community!
We rented an apartment at this site for last two years for our daughter, a Cornell student. We were not disappointed, Overall, the site was just right for us. The Campus, food shopping, malls and restaurants were close. The rental agent, Christine and the maintenance person, Bob Frisbie were very impressive.. They always responded promptly. Snow storms were never a worry, thanks to Bob
We loved living here. The management was always nice and helpful. The walls are a bit thin, but if that's the worst thing about apartment living then I'll take it.
they r very nice apartments very good group of tenants quiet relaxing
Decent apartments with nice view; pricey.
