Today was my first time coming here and I had a great experience. Outdoors and multiple things to do throughout the park. Started at the peach creek trail and rode all the way through twice. Sandy at some points so definitely ride with caution! The A frame camp sites are pretty cool too!
Cabins were very comfortable and clean. The park is beautiful and close to Houston for a weekend getaway. I don't think you should have to pay to enter the park after you pay to stay in cabins. $3 per person per night. The address is completely incorrect on the website, and if you use your navigation, you will wind up lost. I would definitely go back.
I love the shelters!! I have small children so it’s nice to camp and not worry about cars driving by our site. We bring a wagon to get our things from the car to the campsite, it’s a little extra work but it’s worth it for the safety. The nature center is fun for the kids. They love the playground and the sandbox too.
Best nature trails in all Houston. Highly-rated and recommended. Fun for every age. The cabins on the Lake are perfect for a getaway from the big city and totally feel somewhere completely different
This is one of our favorite parks!! The place is kept clean and the trails are amazing! The playground and nature center is one area the kids always ask to go to. The pebble beach area was mostly under water on our last trip, but that did not deter the kids from getting in the water knee deep! Playground: There is another playground by the girl scout cabins, but the one the kids like the most is by the nature center. Restrooms: They are very clean! Clean bathrooms are a must for anyone with little girls and this place is always clean! Picnic area: I took a picture from the walking path bridge in this post....there is a wooden deck and plenty of picnic tables right by the pebble beach area. There are broken glass pieces in the sand sometimes, so be careful if the kids go barefoot! Any glass the kids found, got tossed under the deck. There are many other beautiful picnic spots to choose from, but this is our favorite.
I had an amazing experience in this park. They trails and views were incredible. They have clean restrooms and showers. I would definitely go back.
Super huge and nice park with nature reserves area. You can rent AC controlled camping unit for $125 a night. Super neat. Lots of frogs, bats at night. So different to see from the jammed pack city of houston.
Such a beautiful place to go hiking, swimming, or trail riding. Dogs are allowed and it's very cheap to get in. We'll definitely be visiting again soon.
This place is huge and has so much to explore, but be sure to bring something to hinder the mosquitos. Prices were great, staff was amazing. Park was extremely clean and the cabins were fantastic. I hope to come back a bit more prepared next time.
Super nice park with great trails for hiking. The playground was moderately full of happy kids. I also enjoyed meandering through the Nature Center. $3/day or $25/year.
