Canova Italian Bar & Grill is Don Canova’s vision of an Italian Eatery. Keeping with the Canova family tradition of serving made-to-order Italian dishes using the freshest and finest ingredients, we pay particular attention to every meal we serve. Being an Italian family restaurant, we offer a variety of signature dishes that include pastas, chicken, seafood, hand-stretched pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and daily specials.

Whenever possible we use locally grown produce from MA and RI. Our seafood and meats are delivered daily to ensure the freshest available ingredients we can offer. In addition, our Italian sauces are prepared fresh by our chefs every morning to ensure absolute freshness and provide the best flavor.

Food was AMAZING! The sauce was homemade and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and service was fantastic. The atmosphere is calming and has the feel of a fine dining establishment, but with a Mama's kitchen comforting way about it. The patio was a nice touch. I highly recommend Don & Gigi's, it was worth every bite.Food: 5/5
We've been there now a couple times in person and we've ordered take out a couple times as well. The atmosphere is very nice and they have great staff. The owner usually greets you personally at some point and engages the customers which is amazing. The food is always pretty good as well. I have the Canova Pizza Last night.Food: 5/5
*pictures January Good food services good Ridiculous 5/15/2023 I called around 1 pm asking if I could place an order because online, I can't. The person said yes; we just closed at 8 Pm at 5 Pm I called to place an order in, and the person said no, we do not do an order today. This is ridiculous... I call and ask why you not say 1 pm.
The hostess Kaylee is amazing. I had placed a Take out order As a new customer, I had forgotten a couple things and she came running out to Give Me the items I was missing while she was in heels and all. I found that to be the best customer service she was very sweet. Definitely Made me Want to come back. She's a great Asset to don & gigis ! I very much enjoy their pizza It was good and it was brick oven pizza.
Food was amazing, some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Service was excellent and friendly. Even the owner came out and help our waitress and took orders as well. And then gave us a sample of some new appetizers shes trying out. Loved it will definitely go back again.Food: 5/5
The food is good but not as good as when it was Canova. I ordered the Chicken w/ Artichokes. Only Two pieces of artichoke and they substituted Kalamata olives for the black olives. Yuck! Not the same at all. Sauce wasn’t as good as before. Portion size was great.
This place is amazing! We were in town for a hockey tournament. On the drive up we ate in Little Italy in NYC and the North End. Don and Gigi's was the best meal of our week! And Gigi was so friendly and welcoming. Do NOT miss eating here!Food: 5/5
The food had so much salt it was difficult to eat. My date took hers home only to throw it away. Service was attentive. I spoke to a couple people that have been there more than once and said it was hit and miss with quality. We want to enjoy a great meal not a salt fest. I don't believe I will return on my own again. Parking: On the same property and close.
Went here for pickup and they made our pizza wrong twice. My wife just accepted it because she was sick of waiting. Many other customers were also getting wrong orders/waiting long times for food. With that said the food was pretty good. Good pizza and calamari and good portions. Maybe it was just "one of those days" and they were overwhelmed or not able to find enough dependable workers and understaffed, who knows. We'll most likely still give it another shot with dine in because of the quality of food though so there is that. Service was also nice and polite and very apologetic about the issues which is good. I had never tried this restaurant before. I ordered a couple of pizzas for takeout. I was overcharged around $6 and the front desk staff was indifferent as another reviewer mentioned. They argued with me about the overcharge before someone else stepped in, it took a while, but I was finally refunded and charged correctly. I was told it would only take 20 minutes for the food to be ready but sat there for 20 minutes because it actually took 40 minutes. It wasn't at all busy even though it was a Friday and I placed the order at 4:10 PM. It definitely shouldn't have taken 40 minutes to cook two pizzas with no toppings on them. I can't imagine what the wait must be like for food when they are busy! The pizza was completely unimpressive. Overall, this was a terrible first impression.
