Canyon Lake Veterinary Hospital first opened its doors in 1974. At that time, Dr. Mortimer worked with only one assistant. As a result of the success of CLVH and increased demand for high quality care, our hospital family has grown to 3 Veterinarians, 5 Registered Veterinary Technicians, a Client Care Coordinator, and 2 Kennel Attendants.
In August 2007, Dr's. Nick and Serena Heig purchased Canyon Lake Veterinary Hospital. It is with great pride and much hard work that we have been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1976. Less than 5% of all animal hospitals in the country are AAHA accredited. In order to remain part of this elite group, we must keep the highest of standards and endure rigorous onsite inspections. CLVH was awarded a 25 yr. Standards of Excellence in June of 2001.
