Very clean and the bathrooms.... Let's just say, for our houses, they're beautiful! I'm not kidding and I am super particular about restroom cleanliness. I think the hosts clean the 5 to 6 times every day! And to top it off, if you absolutely must have a toilet that flushes, there's one at the front of the campground with the showers. Yes, really! I also want to say that the campers in the campground, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were super quiet. No parties or crazy drunk people late at night running around. Family friendly and clean. Highly recommend.
Love this campground! I've been going here since I was a child..I took my kids and hope the continue the tradition with their kids as well in the future. Camp hosts have always been so helpful and kind! They sell firewood at front gate! Showers are clean and well kept. The outhouses are not that bad either. Nearby activities: 2 Lakes a few miles down the road also little store down the road as well..great people! Walkability: Walk to sink hole trail Walk on paved roads to showers and flushable toilets
Big sites, some aren’t very level. Quiet at night, friendly staff, sites are cleaned and raked after every check out. A separate water fill station inside would be nice as dump/fill station gets backed up. Nice trail out the back to the rim overlook.
Nice folks here. Enjoyed my stay, until I stopped at their dump station. . . the water hose for black tank rinse has no threaded connector. My Class A coach has a threaded connection that allow me to rinse the black tank after it’s empty. Nope! Can’t do that here! You’ll need to get creative so plan to get wet and/or dirty! Sad.
Roughly two hours from Phoenix, the drive is definitely worth it! Camped here 8/3-4/19 and 6/7-10/2022. Although, it's about a 45 minute hike to the Mogollon Rim, the hike is flat and easy. There is an even shorter hike to a sinkhole as well. The campsites are large and well-maintained, and the main comfort station is very nice and there's pit toilets close to each campsite as well. If you need anything, there is a little store in Forest Lakes that is very useful. It's a wonderful campground! Nearby activities: The Mogollon Rim and a sinkhole are close by, and the drive to Woods Caynon Lake or Willow Springs Lake is below five minutes. I recommend driving about fifteen minutes to Horton Creek. Safety: Don't worry about accidentally walking off the rim! It's about a mile or two away. I don't recall seeing any dangerous animals there either. Walkability: All trails are very walkable, great for young kids! Restrooms: The main comfort station is very nice, and the pit toilets scattered around the loops are great to use in a pinch.
Nice campground, lots of space between sites, plenty of trees. Our site was advertised as 100ft rigs, we are 50ft and it was very tight, our site was also backwards so check out your site before you pull in. Ours at 50a, no water or sewer.Location: 5/5
The park staff was really professional. Came here to use the water and waste stations they offered for $9 a trailer. You can also use their fresh water system to tank back up. Quick and easy!Rooms: 4/5
Great place. Very nice location. Staff was a bit overzealous and annoying. Drove around in a golf cart and tried to kick us out because they were confused about our reservation. Tried to charge my son just to come and visit for the day. Otherwise outstanding.
It's nice to be able to pay for a dump, water and trash ..... BUT..... the charge is what is crazy! 13 gal trash $3, big lawn bags $6 and the dump is $9 NO MATTER THE SIZE.... Mesning if you have a 2 GALLON PORTA POTTY, IT'S $9 THE SAME as a 30 TO 60 gallon RV.... NOT COOL!!!!!Rooms: 3/5
Beautiful and well maintained campground. All staff and supervisor Red are happy, friendly, super helpful! The beauty of the Mogollon Rim area was so much enhanced by the gracious staff at Canyon Point!
