Canyon Trail RV Park

About

Located 7 Miles from Hoover Dam...best place to park your Motorhome or 5th Wheel!

Description

Canyon Trail RV Park has been in our family for over three decades, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built. Our late grandfather Curtis started this business after traveling cross country in an Airstream and seeing how freeing it was to travel and live unimpeded. Now, the next two generations of Wells are taking up the helm to offer that same experience to travelers from all over the world. We have 156 full hookups with 30/50 amp power at every site. We offer Wi-Fi, a full-service laundry room, games of all kinds, and a newly added pool/spa to help you beat the heat. Located less than ten miles from Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, and just 30 minutes on the freeway from the Las Vegas Strip, we’re situated perfectly to allow you and your family to enjoy everything clean, green Boulder City has to offer.

Stayed here for a few days with my husband and and two children and we would definitely come back! Great location, easy access to all major attractions in area, spots were well maintained and easy to get into. The facilities were immaculate! I don’t think I have seen bathrooms and showers so clean at a campground before. The pool and the jacuzzi were also extremely clean! They also have two grills and a mini fridge next to the pool for community use. The camp store is small, but you can drive to a store within 2 minutes!
I must rate this RV camp with full five stars. We came just for one night with 3 kids - 17, 14, 6. The staff was very helpful, the spots excellent and restrooms very clean. I don't know why there are some negative reviews, I didn't see any issue here.Rooms: 5/5
This rating would be zero if that was an option! I read reviews praising the staff. I had the exact opposite experience. I have never been treated with such vile disrespect by RV park staff in over 30 years of camping in all 48 lower states. I have stayed here 3 times only out of medical necessity. On the 1st visit, I got yelled at from across the park by a staff member after my dogs stepped onto a corner lot, a huge violation for the "Snowflakes". I then got "Red Flagged" to not return after the 3rd visit for something that was a flat out lie and did not happen. I was told that I was rude to staff members and they had a meeting with me about it. Neither ever occurred and no explanation was ever provided. I sent 2 emails requesting clarification that went unanswered. This is a terribly rude and inconsiderate way to treat customers, especially a Veteran! Other than a reasnable location, this park has several issues. It is overpriced with steep increases for both RV length and amperage used, the dump hookups are too high to drain properly, the internet is unusable, and the cable TV is unreliable. Since they are one of the only parks in the area they can take advantage of RVers. Save yourself some unneeded stress, disrespect, and lack of appreciation for your hard-earned dollars and stay elsewhere! I was totally prepared for the dishonest response from park ownership. I called to make another reservation only because I was totally unaware of any offense and no staff member ever communicated anything to me. No 180 was made other than by management. To this date, no one has responded to my emails or called to discuss this. The owner can only disparage bad reviewers and has no stones to contact the accused offender to explain himself. This is guaranteed a case of mistaken identity. Sadly the person who committed the alleged offense is probably still staying at the park. Very sad! This can be remedied easily with a simple phone call and explanation. I will then revise or remove the reviews.
We took a weekend trip up to see the Hoover Dam. We didn’t want to drive to motor home over to the Dam due to the security, so we took an Uber over. Hoover Dam is really awesome and we enjoyed our time there. After a couple of hours we tried to catch an Uber back….. Uber would not accept a ride back. I’m fact one of the staffers in the Hoover Dam Cafe had a list of cab companies handy because he said “it happens all the time, Uber will drop you off but they will not pick you up”. After exhausting all the Cab companies, we called the Campground and the owner came and picked us up. She even took us to a local park that had the bighorn sheep there!! Who does that!! How awesome and super appreciated that there is still that level of service out in the world. I highly recommend Canyon Trail RV Campground.
The staff here is so friendly! The park is clean and well kept. We spent five weeks and it was a pleasant and happy experience. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I are new full-timer fifth-wheel RVers. This park was referred to us by a very good friend. We couldn't get into any parks due to the winter and snowbirds as they call them. We walked in and spok to the office and everyone here are so nice and helpful. We were added to a waiting list at the time and were called two weeks later. We were so excited because we had just put our home up for sale and boondocking for almost 3 weeks. The park is beautiful! Quiet and feels soo homey. Even the neighbors are so happy and nice something I am not used to living in a home. You can walk around the park for exercise. There is a pool area, lots of bathrooms and shower areas, and everything is so clean! The Laundromat is clean and comfy. I enjoy doing mine and just relaxing. If anything is in need of repairs, just let the office know and they get things fixed fast. Very hands on. We have been here for 3 months now and I love it! I told my husband if we travel we better keep our spot, my new home.
We have not stayed here because they discriminate against families. It's not a great park but it is well located and they have a decent pool. No shade or grass but who needs that when you can black list anyone with kids? It only gets the second star due to location.
Nice and clean easy parking and set up close to town and eatery’s shower and bathroom area are very clean and kept in good order I recommend Canyon Trail RV !!!
Pretty nice park. Level sites with plenty of room. Pool was clean and felt wonderful after a hot day. One of the two showers worked in the girls room but it was hot and fairly clean. Dryers were as usual in campgrounds ...pretty useless. I only had a small load in and it ran for an hour and my clothes were all wet at the end. Aside from that I would definitely stay here again.
The positive: Staff that geared me was polite and very helpful. Site was clean, level, and hookups were very accessible. Shower houses were clean and tidy, as was the laundry facility. Dog area was well kept. Pool area was pristine. VERY quiet at night. The negative: Lots of different door codes to memorize. The WiFi wouldn't work even with a strong signal. No picnic tables or fire pit could also be a positive because you have more space. Would definitely stay here again.
