Quick easy takeout order using their online service. Steamed clams and raw clams half shell packed with ice and condiments. Place has been here for decades. Haven’t ordered hot food in years but convenient take out / raw bar option.Food: 5/5
No liquor license and slow service mar what is an otherwise fantastic seafood restaurant. Everything was cooked perfect and seasoned well, and the place smells of fried fish & pickles when you walk in. Lobster traps line the ceiling with cute little plastic crabs. If that's the kind environment you'd be charmed by, this is the place for you. The biggest highlight, however, was the Shaq Fries: their spin on Crab Fries. Forget everything you know about Crab Fries, these are the most legit I've ever had in my life. Fresh & juicy shredded crab meat, real melted mozzarella, and old bay seasoning top crispy! shoestring fries! My table cleaned the plate. There's no TVs in Cap'n Cat, it's slightly dim and quiet, with only the other tables, the kitchen, and a soft speaker playing classic rock as background noise. It makes for a great family restaurant to relax and eat without so many distractions, especially if you have ADHD/autistic family members. I will be coming back!
Being new to the area, a friend introduced me to this establishment. When you walk in, you see a well-stocked fish market display case. You can purchase almost any kind of fish that you prefer. In the back is a seafood restaurant. They serve delicious, freshly cooked seafood. I had the salmon and it was delicious. I know several locals who have been going here for years, which tells you how good it is. I was told that they are the best seafood restaurant around. The setting is casual, neat and clean. If you prefer seafood, this is your place!
The crab cakes were delicious, but the flounder was terrible. It was very fishy smelling, bland, and tasted terrible. This was our first time eating here, and the first impression wasn't that good. After being recommended by a friend, I expected more than what we got.Food: 2/5

First time we came here last night. We met my wifes son and lady for my wifes birthday. Basic place with tables and byob. We had a fresh hot seafood meal and service was good. I had fish n chips and they were really good...nice and crisp and not soggy. Wife had stuffed shrimp and crabmeat...excellent...her son had tuna steak and his lady had fish n chips like me. We then ordered oysters and crawfish to take home..we drove one and a half hours to get here and it was worth it all around. Good place...good food and not a lot of fluff!!
I usually get the crab cakes!! They are great not a lot of filling!! I’ve been there for lunch as well!!! I think this is where you get the most bang for your buck. This is our go to seafood place!! Things could be a Lito more seasoned!Food: 4/5
Ordered the lunch special fried oyster sandwich. with onion rings. Very disappointed, the oysters were some weird frozen thing, it was disgusting and brown. The bread was cold and hard , not even warmed or room temp. I ended up tossing it After 1 bite and being hungry on my lunch break. Pretty upsetting, I had high hopes.

This place is the worse!!!! Owner and manager were very rude and unprofessional! Amount of food that they give for the amount of money is not worth it!!! . When I called back to inquire about the order I received, they insisted that they gave me lobster which I never got..furthermore I don't eat lobster!!! Manager told me not to come back and the owner hung up on me...Again the owner is horrible !!!I will never patronize them again ! Terrible staff
