My two boys, ages 6 and 11 had a blast catching small scupper and black bass fish. Everything was too small to keep but that wasn’t the point. Tons of action on reels, easy baiting, staff was so friendly and helpful. On the way out to the fishing hole, a fishing trap is thrown out and pulled up when returning to the dock. There’s lots of spider crabs for the kids to enjoy on the deck. Lastly, the kids help ‘swab the deck.’ This 2 hour trip was an incredible ‘making memories’ experience for children. Boat was well maintained and offered snacks and drinks for a bargain $1 each. Harwichport is so easy to find and park. This is a must do cape kids activity. Such a well run enterprise.
This was one of our kids favorite things to do on the Cape. We had 13 in our party with the kids ranging from 3 to 11. The crew was so attentive, patient, and sweet with the kids; they truly seemed just as excited as our children when they caught anything. This was an awesome introduction into fishing for my family. If we go back to the Cape, this will be one of our must do activities!
The 6 of us with 2 kids aged 10 and 8 had the Best time! We all caught between 2 and 5 fish each!! The crew was super helpful.
We booked our tickets online and it was really easy-added the name and ages for each person getting tickets. I didn't know why, but it makes sense once you arrive. We got to the harbor about 15 minutes before our chartered time to leave. Each kid was asked if they wanted to be a "First Mate" and when the accepted, they got a name tag so the crew could easily call them out by name super easy but brilliant way to connect with the kids! We boarded and took our seats or found our space seats at the bow, along port and starboard, or the stern. We were introduced to the team- Captain and crew of three more young men- with basic safety procedures outlined. We pulled out of the harbor and took a calm and scenic route and then opened up outside the no wake zone. Halfway to our destination we dropped a lobster trap after we learned about the trap itself and what we would be catching. We then headed out to the fishing spot and were given the instructions about using the rod and reel. As soon as we dropped line to the bottom it was fishing galore! All kids caught multiple fish. The crew helped us bait and remove the fish. The crew and captain were personable and social, laughing and joking with the kids and adults which made the trip even more enjoyable. We moved to make sure we were over the fishing spot on two occasions. After spending about an hour fishing, we pulled the lines in and returned. As we returned, to keep the kids entertained, we pulled up the lobster trap that was now filled with spider crabs. The kids were able to catch and hold the spider crabs which was another cool experience. The kids then earn their first mate title by helping scrub the deck! This was a great experience and well worth the ticket price! Remember to bring some cash for water and light snacks and most importantly TIPS as the Captain and his crew were patient, funny, calm and worked to make our outing special.
Our second summer booking a fishing trip. It's great for the kids, everyone caught multiple fish . Easy to use equipment and good staff.
This was a great experience for our family. Everyone caught something and my 9 & 5 year olds had a great time. It was the perfect length for the kids and everyone had a blast. The crew were helpful and the whole event was well organized.
The crew was great! Everyone really went out of their way to make sure we caught the fish properly and that everyone had a great time: Very highly recommend for first timers..nice, big, safe vessel. This was the most memorable part of our trip! Our kids loved fishing, catching crabs and scrubbing the deck after..very nice
Awesome experience for the whole family! We took our kids ages 13, 8 and 3. The crew was great. The fish weren't biting for anyone despite the captain moving the boat to a different spot, but out of 2 people that caught a fish our 8 year old was one of them! Regardless of not catching fish it was still an A plus time. We DID catch loads of spider crabs which wereswere easy to handle, so that was really cool. We learned a bunch and really truly enjoyed ourselves! A definite do again when we return to the Cape.
Fantastic experience for everyone! Beautiful boat ride, caught tons of fish and the kids absolutely loved it. The crew were so great and it really exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to go again. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely best fishing trip for the entire family! The crews was beyond fun and patient and the fish were bitting! We are a family of 5 with a 12, 11, and 8 year old and everyone had a great time!! Wonderful experience and crew! We will definitely be back!!
