Our stay was terrible compared to other campgrounds and we ended up leaving a day early. We had booked a stay from Friday-Sunday. At first note, the tent sites are packed tighter than sardines. You are close enough to hear their conversations and are so close to the road that with the amount of constant traffic, you have to be on constant HIGH alert if you have any young kids. We had terrible neighbors, which hurt our experience more. A group of 4-6 college age kids checked in at 9:30, and made tons of noise up until 230am when my wife confronted them to be quiet. Mind you, quiet hours are 10p-8a but this is not enforced at all. Between lack of enforcement and how crowded it is, this is not a peaceful tenting experience. After one night and it being plainly visible that our neighbors weren’t just doing a 1 night, we left to spare ourselves another terrible nights sleep. The money wasted on the extra night was fine, knowing we would get a full night sleep at home. I will praise the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the friendliness of the staff. The kids enjoyed the playground. We stayed out of the water because of some of these other reviews I’ve read. Summary is, if you like to tent camp as a peaceful getaway, don’t come here. Can’t comment on the RV stuff, it did seems a little crammed but not as bad as the tent areas.
Great campground. Bathrooms and showers kept very clean. Awesome little general store with anything you can imagine and lots of candy treats. Pond is great for swimming and keeping cool. Very quiet at nite. Ice cream shop is nice treat too! Lots to do or just relax.
Maple Park is super beautiful and clean. The beach area is awesome and the snack shack food is yummy! Lots to do here! The people that work here are so incredible helpful and nice. We love everything about this place and can’t wait to come back! We’ve found our new favorite campground!
Great for Travel Trailers with families. Good place to set up for the Summer and not leave. Golf cart necessary, they do have them to rent as well. Very crowded. NOT Big Rig friendly, but staff did help us in and out because all other campgrounds were full in the area. Have aquapark, paddle boats, paddle boats, etc for rent. Has a snack shack and ice cream. Even has a dog Beach. But sand everywhere! Hard to keep clean!
Love this place ,my family has been going here for years, pet friendly, plenty of things to do for kids, and adults. Great beach in summer, Columbus day is the best with a Halloween theme weekend with trick or treating for kids ,haunted sites to explore and many more activities . Fourth of July is a great week also. We recently rented one of the site cabins and it was fantastic, clean spacious and relaxing. Great staff also.
The best campground we’ve ever been to, an we have stayed at many. So many activities for the kids. Ponds are great for swimming. Bingo was a lot of fun with cash prizes. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Best shower are located by laundry room. Fire wood expensive so bring your own if you can/allowed. We spent around $200 for 4 nights, which made our east coast trip more affordable.
Very poor. They have had issues with people getting sick from swimming in the pond. My whole family was just there this past week and all ended up getting a stomach bug. Had been told by some of the staff others refuse to admit it that it's been going on for a while now. My daughter in-law tried to talk to someone in charge but all they wanted to do was to get their name and camp site so they are now banned from coming back. My family has been coming there for a few years. It's tough because two of my grandkids are heart babies and getting violently ill like that is not good for them. Guess it's still all about the $$.
An enormous Golf Cart Rodeo! People in all maner of golf carts whizzing by at all hours of the night and day in a giagantic dust cloud that permeates everything you own. Some of the Golf carts are decorated with colorful lights, others have thumping ghetto style sound systems. If you are a Golf Cart Cowboy, this is the place for you. Yeeeeeeeehawwwwww! Since we are not Golf Cart Cowboys, the place kind of sucked. If you're not a Golf Cart Cowbow and don't enjoy chewing on dust and sand, you may want to skip this place.
Very large Campground. Need golf cart to see it all. They do rent them. Clean level spots. Many in pine tree areas. Great beach.
My family goes there every year. Never going back there is bacteria in the pond. all the campers who have swam are getting violently I'll and the people running it won't acknowledge the issue. They ban you if you complain the health department has been notified.
