Staff did an amazing job! The moment we walked in the door we were greeted and kindly directed to check in. Shortly after we were called back for triage! Staff was kind and spoke to my daughter who was ill. When we got into the room the Staff was on top of it. We got blood work, labs and IV established. Nurse and doctor were very kind and explained the process. Staff was constantly checking on my daughter and making sure she was comfortable. Test results came back in a timely matter. When plans changed the doctor was back to update! I wish I was better at remembering names. But I would absolutely take my family back. And if I were to move here. I would love to work in that ER.
Most of the staff was pleasant. The hospital was extremely dirty. I was placed in a chair in a hallway, the chair had dirty tissues stuffed into the cushions and stains all over. Not to mention this seating was blocking access to fire safety. Really wanted to burn my clothes after. The pungent aroma of pee filled the air. X-ray tech was amazing and had a great attitude for 6am. The doctor came and took a look. Was told they didn’t do MRIs at the hospital, unless it was for brain trauma. He told me he write a referral for a MRI and a script for the pain. Discharge nurse came to give me paper work and none of what the doctor said was on the paperwork. I am now driving to find care at another location. I will never come back and would avoid this hospital at all cost.
I must share. There’s always so much negative about hospitals, but I am more than happy to share my experience, which was nothing short of amazing. From the moment, I walk through the emergency doors and was greeted by staff and quickly wheeled back to the ER. I was quickly surrounded by caring staff. Dr. Esposito was OUTSTANDING. He listened very carefully and in-depth with what was going on, and immediately went into action to try and help. Then Dr. Barreda what another amazing compassionate doctor. Definitely a great patient advocate. The nurses from the emergency room to the CT scan, up to the fourth floor where I was admitted cared so deeply, and was always right there. Any time they were needed. Always checking in to make sure I was comfortable. I would give this hospital 10 stars if I could. With the way, our healthcare system feels these days this hospital is doing everything right if I should ever need to go again or take my family that would be the place I would go. Thank you to the hospital and all the doctors and staff for caring.
Terrible experience. We were from out of town and I had to bring my mother in due to severe pain. The attending physician was extremely curt, rushed, and really sort of patronizing toward my mom if I'm being honest. Then we had a tall male nurse that came in to my mom's room briefly to sub for her actual nurse, and he was truly the rudest nurse we have ever encountered. He spoke to me and my mother with zero manners when we were asking to see the doc for my mom's discharge orders, he too was very condescending toward myself and my mother. Let's not even talk about the wait time and total lack of attention. Run, go to another facility if you can, terrible.
Was in the ER today for a kidney stone. Service was fast and results were in very quick. The my chart online thing is great and you are able to see your result as soon as they become available. The staff was friendly and polite. Great experience
Showed up for appointment for pre-surgery and was told their systems have been down all day so it would have to be rescheduled. No phone calls to let ppl know? This is very typical of the quality of service I have received from CCH. Avoid if at all possible.
Had to go to ER for severe side pain. Could not sleep or eat for days. Doctor assumed a kidney stone. Told me to go to urgent care. Urgent care sent me to ER. Had a CT scan. Itemized bill listed scam/scan alone as $12,000. That is just the scan not including the doctor or drugs administered. I don’t see how this is reasonable. I called hospital to negotiate price down and they said they cannot. So i guess it goes into collections. I feel as if I flew to Hollywood to see a top plastic surgeon. lol. The cost doesn’t match the experience at all. Is this the new normal in American hospitals? I’m beyond words.
Wish zero was an option. This place used to be very good. Now it's horrible. I've lived here 41 years. I'm convinced that nurses and staff on 3W tried to overdose my Mom, I witnessed everything. Including Palliative Care and Pain Management - I don't know how any of them sleep well at night. Amber Greco + Pammy from Palliative Care are incompetent. I wouldn't be surprised if Amber is on fentanyl herself. Dorothea from pain management literally walked in the room and said "good luck with her' - who says that? No one knows how to read a chart before they walk in a patients room. I thought that was the benefit of going electronic? Constantly having to repeat myself to incompetent staff because no one would take the simple time it's your job to read a medical chart. Night Nurse Diane and daytime Haitian nurse Laissoedie should be fired for their lack of care and professionalism. If you can't do the job of nursing, or you feel you still need to wear a mask after we all know the truth about COVID-19, go work somewhere else.
The ER is great. The ICU is absolutely awful. The step down units are awful too. The ICU treated me like garbage. I would choose a different hospital. I want to add, since the time I was there, I've had a hard time dealing with how I was treated. The staff I experienced has left me feeling that they didn't care if I lived or died. I heard them talk very bad things about me while I was immobilized in my bed. They treated me like trash, but they sure did lap up my insurance money. The longer I've had time to reflect on my stay, I hate this place. Plus, the hospital system makes it very difficult to file a complaint. I truly hate this place.
My husband went here because he had abdominal pain to the ER, was screened, sent for labs and a ct which showed abnormalities but instead of admitting him or doing further testing, he was sent home and told to follow up with a GI. Turns out he had bile duct stones which caused inflammation to his bile duct and 8 months later, he had stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma. I understand staffing is short, but if there’s something abnormal, it should be checked not just send the person home to die.
