Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone considering their "peer counselors" threaten people, ie their MALE employee peer counselor threatened myself, a female because I stated facts about his friend in OSD. If he isn't sane enough to handle a strangers comments on Facebook without threatening them and calling them the c word, talking bad about my CHILDREN, how the heck does he counsel anyone. Sounds like Kevin hazlett needs the counselor
I was discharged with no referral because 5 of their Participants spoke out against me, and 5 of their Staff didn't want to work with me. As if other Participants deciding they didn't like the new rules and guidelines was somehow my fault. It was not a discussion. I was given no options. It was either "Leave now, or we will call the Police and put you in jail". My Discharge Paper said I wasn't allowed to tell anyone that I was discharged apparently, I was supposed to disappear and be wiped from everyone's memory without a trace, as if I never existed?. I was forbidden from attending Community Events, yet was still expected to supply the music for their Dance Party. Since my Discharge Paper threatened to charge me with Trespassing if I showed up, I didn't. I wouldn't trust the CRC with my garbage, let alone my Mental Health.
The professionalism of this place is appalling. An employee, Brandi Potter receptionist there posted on her facebook "All lives splatter"- "noone cares about your protest." This shows a lack of care to an entire population that she is in the place of serving. After an outcry on facebook to have this employee removed, Capital Recovery Center came out with a weak apology and that she's been "sent home for safety reasons." Apparently they're alright with these actions. I will never refer anyone there now. I suggest anyone with a conscience does the same. EDIT- She has been fired June 11th. Capital Recovery center has done the right thing.
This is the most unprofessional, unorganized clinic I have ever been to. They have messed up my visit everytime I've gone here either by handing out my medicine to the wrong person or by losing my file and having to restart the whole program because they don't remember you. This place is a joke. They get you hooked on suboxone so you have to keep coming back, and they make you wait hours. This is a quicker visit and ive been here for 4 hours.
CRC is making our community better right now by empowering individuals in need to achieve and maintain good mental health. If they had more they could do more.
The classes are on point. The staff is compassionate but not overbearing. Breakfast and lunch are Amazing! Thank you Capitol recovery aka CRC. =
If you are looking for peer support, this ain't it. If you're looking for intensive therapy, this still ain't it. If you want to hang out in a day center with more rules than sense, this is the place for you!
