Don't judge this place by it's awning. While the outside is unappealing and even gross looking with it's old "oriental food" awning molding away in the mist, the inside is clean and welcoming. The restaurant is charmingly spic and span with affordable, delicious, and wonderfully plated food. The market has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, many of which you will not find in a regular supermarket. There are also all sorts of spices and meal bases to experiment with and expand one's repertoire. The staff at both are helpful and cheerful. I very much enjoyed a lunchtime visit, and plan to return for more shopping.
This is my favorite place for pho, salads, fried rice. It's all great. Family run, they have small store attached which is great to pick up items as well. My favorite is the combination pho. Lots of meat, meatball, tripe and tendon. The broth is perfect. They have a mango salad, you can add the protein. It's huge and delicious, the green papaya is just as good. To orders are great too. Fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce are always fresh and flavorful. The clientele is very mixed with lots of Asian families eating there. Which to me is a good sign It's very authentic. I've been going here for over 10 years, it has changed owners a couple times, but the quality has stayed on point. It's not fancy inside, but the food speaks for itself.
It's so nice having this small market close by. Yes, the supply of produce is limited, but it's the only place you're going to get Thai basil, garlic chives, bok choy, shiitake, beech, oyster, king oyster, and any Chinese mustard greens, shallot, ginger -- savory pickled radish!? Yes, it's awesome in a pad Thai. Not to mention the abundant inventory of spices, sauces, pastes, or powders for cuisines across Asia. We just moved here a few months ago and having this store nearby has definitely taken our cooking to a new level. Everything in the photos was purchased here except the canola oil and the wok I also recommend the Breville electric wok - it's an apartment must have if you're stuck with a glass top or electric coils
Pho Capital Olympia is really good food! Good price, good quality, good portions, and tastes great. A very relaxing place to dine in . Love the fish tank to look at. Absolutely the very best place to get Japanese mayonnaise, excellent Asian candies , rice flour and many other Asian foods. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is very clean.
Best homemade kimchee and pickled veggies. They have all the other quality foods you'd expect at an Asian market, including Bahnmi bread
My second day in Washington and needed some Asian groceries. Got what I needed. Found out there’s a restaurant next door from the same owners. Had the chicken pho and surprisingly the broth is up to my standards. I’ll be returning for sure.
12$ for so much pho, this place is amazing.best pho I’ve ever had. Super friendly customer service in the market. Super easy delivery as well!
Nice selection and the best Asian market in west Olympia...adjacent restaurant is a bonus!
Great food and also an Asian market. I like to order to-go and do my shopping while they put the order together. My favorite in Oly
