George was super super helpful. We arrived as travellers with absolutely no gear and wanted to rent rods for the day. George nailed it and provided my partner and I with absolutely everything we needed including extra hooks, weights etc which we ended up using It came to $60 for the two of us which is really good value, especially in the Keys. Couldn’t recommend Captain Pete’s enough, we even got told all the best local places to go fishing and had an incredible day.

I had a great experience with this business, the owner and her husband. Used the shop on two occasion on a weekend with my 88 year old father. They both took the time to engage us beyond the interaction of purchasing bait and supplies. We were given a tip to night fish in the bay nearby and ole Dad an I hauled in 14 mangrove snapper. In the end this is what counts. Love this bait shop.

Need quality bait? Capt'n Pete's is the place to go. You will LITERALLY be wasting your time going anywhere else. Costumer Service? UNBEATABLE! Bait? UNMATCHED Overall: 10/10! ... and if you need some good fishing advice, talk to George the owner. As a local, he knows the area like the back of his hand. This bait shop is the BEST!! The owner is very friendly and goes above and beyond to help his customers. The shop is very clean and adequately stocked with bait, tackle and friendly staff. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful fishing trip!

Very unfriendly. We asked for ten dozen shrimp. We didn't get nearly that many and ha third where dead the others on their way to being dead. We went to Yellow bait shop next time. We had great service and shrimp. We will never go back to this one.

We had our first ever day of bridge fishing in the Keys today and stopped in Cap’n Pete’s to rent some rods and reels. When we first stepped foot inside I worried the prices would be too high because of how clean and nice the space was. Thankfully, I was wrong to make assumptions because the prices were very fair $15 for a full day. We were able to also get some great frozen bait and extra weights, making it a super easy one stop shop. Not only that, but the man who helped us who I believe is the owner was extremely helpful and friendly, all while maintaining the laid back vibes you’re looking for in the Keys. We will absolutely be back - what a simple and enjoyable experience!

The guys awesome, super nice and quick. Helped me out with some bait choices and threw me some shrimp in with my bait for free since some of the other crabs they had left were small. Lots of “candy” in the store for the avid anglers out there to the every day fisherman. Awesome guy, would recommend anybody to come here.

I have been fishing in the Keys since 78. Love this shop. Capt Pete's does great rod repairs. You can't tell the repair from the original. They have an impressive selection of bait, tackle, rods and reels.

Awesome shop great people! George spent time helping me in what I needed for my fishing expedition! Such a welcoming and awesome place. Totally recommend!!
