A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time."

"Captain D's Please" Love coming here after church on Sundays or during the week for a quick lunch. I am a vegetarian but am happy with all the veggie sides they offer, they even have a "vegetable plate" on the menu. The inside is always sparkling and the store manager is super nice. Great team of working people, working together. Some of the best hush-puppies in town! And they sell Cheese Cake Factory's famous cheese cake Vegetarian options: One of the few restaurants in town that offer a "vegetable plate" I'm so thankful
The drive thru line was a little slow, only two cars ahead of us. Overall the food was good. French fries very salty and limp. Hush puppies, slaw and fish very good. It was hot and freshly cooked.Food: 4/5
The manager was having to take orders bring out food,basically doing everything. The tables in the middle of the aisle someone in a wheelchair were barely able to get up one side , the handicap stall had no toilet paper and urine on the seat. The manager was informed she said the table was screwed into the floor. She did after ten fifteen minutes go clean the restroom. The manager is trying her best to run the place but, it appears she's trying to do everything. The issue with accessibility is a big issue. The food was sub par. The restroom as a whole was unsanitary. Was disappointed with the experience but, the manager was alerted to acciblity issues as well as the unsanitary issues and she said she would talk to the higher ups but, not sure if actions will be taken or not. Parking: Crammed space, one wheelchair space available. Wheelchair accessibility: One side of the restaurant going to the restroom. Is barely able to get wheelchair to the bathroom. The handicap stall is barely big enough to get the chair in and shut the door. Have to pull straight in and back out and barely big enough to turn to wash hands. Trying to transfer from chair to toilet the handrails aren't placed to be able to hold for safe transfer.
I love eating here. I don't mind going to eat alone because I am alone. I enjoy the fish and shrimp with a loaded baked potato and either okra or macaroni and cheese. They have great ice and sweet tea!Food: 5/5

Food was good but just like 7/10 time s you eat at fast food they get your order wrong. Paid extra for premium sides and got fries and slaw. Very frustrating and makes you not want to go back.
I can't tell you if the food was any good because we sat at the drive thru speaker for over 20 minutes after sitting in line for an additional 20. We finally gave up and drove around the front and there was one employee talking to one customer inside.Food: 1/5
The fish was delicious and our waitress was attentive and helpful and wore a great big smile. Who could ask for more?Food: 5/5
