About 2.4 miles was the longest loop- perimeter loop .There are others shorter loops that you can take to shorten or lengthen your hike. Its faily an easy hike where you can bring kids.Water and mud in parts so wear proper shoes. On an evening there were only 2 other hiking party and ample of open parking.Variety of birds can be spotted .Trails are well maintained, marked.
A super beautiful trail and reservation. I've taken local afternoon hikes here multiple times and it's always super gorgeous and relaxing. I recommend the perimeter loop. It's also great during the winter.
Free and plenty of parking. Trails are impressively marked. The park and trails were immaculate with no trash noted. Surprisingly there was more shade than I had originally expected but I was still happy that I brought an umbrella for sun protection as there are some wide open add exposed parts to this trail. This park offers a perfect opportunity for a beginners hike for families and children. No pets allowed. This park is located on private property. Educational opportunities available. Cool rock formations throughout. There were a few bugs but nothing biting. Select few trails were closed off for habitat restoration. The pond white trail appeared to have a detour due to flooding but again clearly marked. I saw many birds and frogs but no other wildlife but I did go mid afternoon on a 90° day. All in all this is a well-kept and wonderful place to explore.
This will take you many visits to explore each trail just once, let alone several visits. Need to get away from all the noise? Go here, bring a camera/phone, water, and just enjoy. The caregiver is EXTREMELY helpful and friendly as well, fantastic experiences.
Such a lovely, clean and well maintained place! The last time I was there it had snowed recently so it was very easy to observe animal prints and movement through the preserve. I saw the prints of deer, coyote, fox, and a bobcat. I think if you were to get there early in the day and walked very quietly you could probably spot a lot of these animals, but all it takes is one noisy group to clear animals out of the area. The parking is free, the trails are beautifully marked. No dogs allowed.
Great place for bird watching. Was a very quiet peaceful place to walk through. Apparently there are many owls that live here but unfortunately we didn't spot any, I did pick one up on my merlin app but we didn't actually see it. Restrooms: Clean
Really well marked trails. More of a terrain challenge than a vertical elevation. Nice relaxing trail. Great views
Loved the birds here. My friend had her binoculars. We saw two hawks, and all the little swallows. It was cool hearing the peepers too. The trails are marked nicely. Parking lot fills up quick. I'd stick to coming during the week. It's peaceful inside their woods.
Gentle trails, bird boxes, turtles and other wildlife! Restrooms: Amazing composting toilet- high tech and odorless!
This is our go-to hike for a nice afternoon or evening. About a half hour to one hour of easy trails. Fun for my two year old but watch out for toddlers tripping on exposed roots and some poison ivy off trail. Great for bird watching as well of course.
